Position Description
Lindsay Corporation is hiring a new Business Systems Analyst. The main purpose of this position is to solve organizational information challenges by analyzing requirements, designing process and systematic solutions, and recommending system controls and procedures. This position reports to the Director of Business Solutions within and is a key role in the Information Technology department.
Position Details
This is a full-time position, reporting to the Director of Business Solutions. This is a salaried position that is eligible for all standard salaried benefits, including an annual bonus compensation. The position is expected to be able to travel (Minimally, < 10%), to include internationally, when projects at other sites would benefit from it.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design business solutions (process and system) by analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications.
- Improve systems by studying current practices and designing appropriate and sustainable solutions.
- Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures.
- Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.
- Provide instruction, assistance, and support services to ERP System end-users globally. Leverage local support vendors where applicable.
- Participate in after-hours, weekend, and holiday support including on-call pager duty.
- Conduct routine periodic activities in ERP system as directed by Corp IT management to provide supporting information for organization (month-end, job-queue, subscriptions, etc.).
- Provide support to project implementation during relevant project phases (analysis, design, training, testing, Go-Live support)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
- At least 5 years’ experience working with Microsoft operating systems, supporting Microsoft Dynamics NAV (2013 or above), Dynamics CRM or equivalent mid-market CRM applications, preferably for a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining full-cycle ERP environments (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
- Track record of managing multiple technology projects, both internal and external resources, through justification, planning, and implementation
- Excellent communications skills and understanding of manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge must include the development, training and supporting of a variety of business software, to include, but not limited to, ERP, CRM, SSRS, .NET etc.
- Must be proactive in analyzing and troubleshoot ERP system issues in a courteous, efficient and timely manner.
- Must be able to contribute to improvements and enhancements for mission-critical, enterprise-wide information systems.
- Self-motivated and capable to work with minimal supervision
- A focus on proactively addressing observed needs
