The Sr. Brand Manager will lead small animal vaccine brand activities in the Companion Animal Business Unit, driving sales and market share through strategic marketing and operational planning.
Job Description
This role is responsible for small animal vaccine brand activities within the Companion Animal Business Unit at within our company’s US animal health business. This role is required to be in office 3 days per week either in Rahway, NJ or Lenexa, KS.
The Sr. Brand Manager will have primary responsibility for providing operational and implementation of brand strategies. This individual will lead and manage all brand messaging, internal and external communications including all marketing, advertising, product pricing and related trade and industry programs. He/she will be responsible for developing and delivering the brand portfolio’s annual financial plan including topline sales, spending and profit contribution.
Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Be the brand steward for products within the Companion Animal Business Unit at our company's Animal Health US.
Manage the development and delivery of the brand's annual marketing/financial plan.
Manage the development and execution of all brand communications and allocation of spending. Work in a highly cross functional joint accountability environment inclusive of both internal and external support groups.
Work closely with digital team, customer marketing team, commercial and technical infrastructure teams to properly develop programs that represent integrated strategies to drive sales and market share.
Gain understanding of the vaccine market, current and future competitors to develop the strongest potential plans and programs to grow sales and profits into the future.
Collaborate with Global Marketing to leverage global marketing strategies and ensure brand compliance with promotional, positioning and pricing policies.
Interface with appropriate R&D and regulatory teams to ensure existing and new product development in the bios category is properly aligned with business commercial requirements.
Help establish, develop an intensive and robust channel marketing strategy and subsequent implementation.
Be the Voice Of the Customer (VOC) by capturing the requirements/feedback from the customer (Veterinarians, Consumers) and deliver best-in-class programs that meet the customer’s needs/wants.
Minimum education required:
BA/BS Degree required
MBA preferred
Required Experience and Skills:
At least 5+ years relevant work experience in marketing/technical service/sales in the Animal Health/Human Health pharma industry.
Experience working with a sales force
Must possess strong financial acumen
Knowledge of market research
Development of marketing materials
Strong communication skills [verbal, written and listening skills], interpersonal skills and working cross-functionally
Self-starter, able to work and manage effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong project management skills
Strong analytical skills
Forecasting skills and manufacturing knowledge, a plus.
10 -25% travel required, dependent on business needs
Must be available in office 3 days per week (Either Lenexa, KS or Rahway, NJ)

Expected US salary range:
$114,700.00 - $180,500.00Available benefits include bonus eligibility, long term incentive if applicable, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days. A summary of benefits is listed here.
