THE RUNDOWN

The Senior Vice President, Information Systems will lead the strategic vision, architecture, and execution of Playfly Sports’ information systems. Reporting to the Chief Corporate Officer, this role focuses on building a unified and scalable systems infrastructure to support business growth, digital transformation, and operational excellence. The SVP, Information Systems will collaborate with executive leadership to implement progressive technologies, assess and optimize system health, and drive innovation to meet evolving organizational needs. With an emphasis on systems architecture, data security, and business continuity, this role ensures Playfly’s technology landscape supports long-term growth, efficiency, and partner success.


WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Systems Architecture and Strategy: Design and implement a unified, scalable, and innovative information systems architecture that aligns with Playfly’s business goals and growth strategy.
  • Technology Optimization and Innovation: Drive the creation and deployment of custom-built solutions, ensuring they are innovative, cost-effective, and offer a competitive advantage.
  • Driving Employee Adoption: Foster employee adoption of current and newly implemented technologies through strategic communication, training, and support initiatives to maximize impact and ROI.
  • Digital Transformation: Lead digital transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency, improve partner outcomes, and position Playfly as a technology-forward organization by leveraging emerging technologies.
  • Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement: Establish baseline metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to define expectations and track progress. Drive system enhancements by leading cross-enterprise discovery exercises annually, ensuring alignment with business objectives and continuous optimization.
  • System Health and Reliability: Regularly evaluate and improve system health, performance, and security to support organizational needs, minimize risks, and ensure operational resilience.
  • Business Continuity and Resilience: Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans, ensuring seamless operations during disruptions.
  • Team Leadership and Culture: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Executive Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, providing insights on information systems and forecasting technology needs and capital planning aligned with long-term organizational objectives.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring maximum value and alignment with Playfly’s goals.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success in executing IT strategies, driving digital transformation, implementing scalable infrastructure within a fast-paced organization.
  • Strong familiarity with sports marketing and media industry is preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Strong ability to leverage data for decision-making and operational improvement.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for leveraging technology to drive growth and efficiency.

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The work is sedentary in nature
  • Walking, standing, bending and carrying of light office items is required
  • The work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate-controlled office environment
  • May require occasional travel

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this role is $275,000 to $325,000. The listed base is not inclusive of additional bonus opportunity. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
