Allegria Village, a senior living community in Dearborn, is currently hiring a full-time External Marketer to join our team in Independent Living!

Ideal candidate has strong digital marketing abilities combined with creativity and innovation for what is becoming a fast-growing, saturated industry. Must have the ability to adapt quickly to solve problems, have analytical thinking skills and be data driven. In-person marketing will be required, with that said; must be enthusiastic, energetic and stimulating. Looking for fresh ideas with the ability to connect with seniors and promote Independent Living at Allegria Village.

Overview: The External Marketer is charged with the task of increasing awareness in the community among target audiences and building relationships with potential referral sources in an effort to maximize the number of admissions. Additionally, this individual is directly responsible for building and maintaining a census that meets occupancy goals of the community.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Develop new business opportunities to meet established trends, help develop and implement strategic sales plans.

  2. Facilitate client and referral sources.

  3. Plan and carryout marketing events for target referral sources and potential residents.

  4. Stay current with competition, deliver sales presentations/ proposals to prospective clients

  5. Assist in developing and managing client and homecare agency relationships, evaluate accounts, manages projects to make sure that they get completed in a timely manner.

  6. Responsible for assisting with sales campaigns, maintain active participation and membership in networking organizations.

  7. Works closely with the Senior Director and Administrator (if applicable) in the development and execution of the weekly outreach plan and outside community involvement.

  8. Responsible for all phases of the sales and marketing process to ensure that the community achieves and maintains its budgeted occupancy and revenue growth.

  9. Work in conjunction with Independent Living marketing/admission team on select events.

  10. Other duties as assigned

Other duties:

  • External marketing 3-4 days per week

  • Generate and maintain relationships with referral sources

  • Contribute to social media presence

  • Maintain relationships with lead sources, generate new lead sources, generate leads (non-referral agency), and maintain relationships with referral agencies

  • Plan and coordinate community and facility marketing events, attend trade shows

  • Maintain relationships within the community (with managers and staff)

  • Attend weekly marketing meeting at community

  • Weekly conference calls with Senior Director and/or Administrator

  • Submit daily and weekly marketing report to direct supervisor, administrators, and corporate

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of sales and marketing experience in the senior living industry is preferred

  • Proven track record of event planning, referral source development, and successful sales process

  • Engaging verbal and written communication style

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Builds relationships with adult children of prospective residents, staff, doctors, and community

  • Compassionate listener

Education/Certification

  • Associates or Bachelors preferred
