SEO DIRECTOR

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies, lead and manage a team of SEO specialists, conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis, monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics, collaborate with cross-functional teams, stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, optimize website structure, on-page content, and technical SEO, manage relationships with external SEO vendors and agencies.

The Role
The client is in search of a seasoned SEO professional to lead their SEO department and drive their organic search strategy. Ideally, the right candidate will have five or more years of experience in a director-level SEO role, with a strong emphasis on achieving measurable results in organic search performance. This role demands a strategic mindset coupled with a history of successfully optimizing websites to boost search engine rankings and increase online visibility across diverse industries.
As the SEO Director, you will be instrumental in shaping the clients’ digital marketing efforts and ensuring that their online presence aligns with their overall business objectives. You will be responsible for developing innovative SEO strategies that leverage the latest industry trends and technologies, fostering collaboration among various teams to ensure a cohesive approach to search engine optimization. Your expertise will be vital in guiding the team through tactical initiatives aimed at enhancing site authority, refining content, and improving the overall user experience.
You will also mentor and cultivate a team of SEO specialists, ensuring they stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends. Your leadership will create an environment of continuous learning and adaptation, equipping the team to respond effectively to shifts in the SEO landscape. Additionally, you will engage with senior management to provide insights on performance metrics and strategic direction, ultimately contributing to the client’s success in the digital space.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and increase website traffic.
- Lead and manage a team of SEO specialists, content editors, and developers to implement best practices and achieve departmental goals.
- Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis to inform content and optimization strategies.
- Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content marketing and web development, to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all digital initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, search engine algorithm changes, and emerging technologies to ensure ongoing optimization efforts are effective.
- Optimize website structure, on-page content, and technical SEO to enhance user experience and increase conversion rates.
- Manage relationships with external SEO vendors and agencies, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Required Skills & Experience

Additional Requirements

- Certification in SEO or digital marketing (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads).
