Tyson Foods seeks a Commerce Marketing Manager to develop shopper marketing strategies and drive brand growth within the retail sector, focusing on maximizing marketing ROI.

Tyson Foods is raising the world’s expectation on how much good food can do. The Shopper Marketing Team is excited for the growth that is occurring within the company and the Team! The primary responsibility for this position is to develop and execute shopper marketing strategies and plans for Tyson's portfolio of brands.
SUMMARY:
To development and execute omni-channel marketing strategies and plans to support the Tyson Brand while improving incremental marketing return on investment against annual and prior period metrics
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical annual plans for the Tyson Brand at assigned retailers.
  • Interact with Sales Team, Brand Team, Shopper Insights, Agency Partners, and Customers. The Commerce Marketing manager will be the key contact representing specific retailers.
  • Lead annual planning workshops with Tyson sales teams for assigned retailers
  • Manage and maintain annual budgets. Securing alignment and approval of plans among the following audiences: Tyson Sales teams, Tyson Brand teams and retailer Marketing and Merchandising teams
  • Develop and execute launch plans for Tyson innovation brands
  • Engage Tyson’s Shopper Insights team to provide insights-based rationale for plans.
  • Conduct Strategic Business Analyses and identifying Key Business Drivers.
  • Lead reoccurring sales team meetings for supported categories, communicating campaign and/or budget updates and understanding merchant/retailer needs and making recommendations for commerce marketing support within these meetings
  • Providing eCommerce metrics around the Tyson brand
  • Managing online sales platforms (Amazon, Shopify, Magento, etc.) and marketplaces.
  • Participate in meetings with cross-functional team members to support business initiatives and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Manage personal Travel and Expense budget.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: BS in marketing or another business-related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in eCommerce management, digital marketing, or a similar role, preferably within the retail or CPG industry
Experience: 5+ years' experience in marketing, sales, market research and/or agency in Food or other Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Successful candidate will have experience working with Walmart, advertising agencies and experience in marketing brands in a retail environment. Past Shopper Marketing experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office applications with a strong emphasis focused on building Excel spreadsheets as analysis tools. Proficient systems knowledge and experience with syndicated data (IRI / Mintel /Retail Link preferred).
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Public speaking skills for presentations to senior management, peers, and customers required.
Special Skills: Strong project management, trouble-shooting and problem- solving skills; strategic skill sets based on a combination of fact- based shopper data and qualitative data to create customer visions for sustained business growth; leadership by influence, not by role authority; ability to comfortably sell ideas to others who ultimately will make the business decisions (Buyer, Sales Leader, Brand Manager, Sales Planning Team); work cross-functionally with a multitude of Brand Teams and Business Units, who each have different processes and management styles; ability to lead agency based on project management from creative concept to execution; write agency assignment briefs, creative briefs, and be an advocate for those customers in your assigned region(s).
