We are seeking an experienced Vertical Marketing Manager to lead marketing efforts for the State, Local Government, and Education (SLED) vertical. This strategic role is ideal for a marketing professional with the expertise to develop and execute comprehensive marketing programs, drive growth, and establish the company as a trusted partner in the SLED space.

The Vertical Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing and be instrumental in creating targeted strategies, optimizing RFP opportunities, and maximizing success during E-rate season. This individual must have the leadership skills to manage complex programs and drive impactful results while contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Develop Vertical Marketing Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for the SLED vertical. This includes crafting go-to-market plans, messaging frameworks, and marketing programs tailored to state, local government, and education audiences.
  • RFP and E-rate Focus: Lead marketing efforts to support RFP submissions and maximize E-rate opportunities, including developing collateral, content, and campaigns that meet procurement requirements and resonate with SLED decision-makers.
  • Lead Generation and Campaign Execution: Work with our campaign team to design and implement campaigns and events to generate leads and drive engagement in the SLED vertical.
  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of tailored content for the SLED market, including case studies, white papers, blog posts, and presentations. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure materials meet the unique needs of government and education stakeholders.
  • Market Intelligence and Analysis: Maintain a deep understanding of the SLED market, including trends, competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and customer needs. Use this knowledge to refine strategies and position the company as a leader in this space.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Product, and the larger Marketing team to ensure alignment of initiatives, provide sales enablement tools, and support account-based marketing (ABM) efforts for high-priority opportunities.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting: Track and report on the success of SLED marketing programs, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and demonstrate ROI to stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive SLED marketing strategy and execution plan
  • Targeted support for RFPs and E-rate opportunities
  • Lead generation programs designed for government and education audiences
  • Sales enablement materials, including playbooks, presentations, and collateral
  • Event strategies and execution plans for SLED-focused trade shows and conferences
  • Performance metrics and reporting on campaign outcomes and ROI

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a strong focus on vertical or program management, preferably in the telecom or technology sector
  • Deep knowledge of the SLED market, including procurement processes, RFPs, and E-rate
  • Understanding of basic telecom products
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or related field
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing programs that drive growth and engagement
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and presentations
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Highspot, Hubspot Microsoft Office, Monday.com or similar platforms
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with strong leadership and relationship-building skills
  • Positive, solution-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to challenges
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time

Salary


Pay range (commensurate with skills and experience): $74,384 – $112,752
