Seeking a Small Business Specialist to help aspiring entrepreneurs in the Greater Louisville Area achieve success through coaching, business services, and training.

What will you do:
- Find, connect, and support aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners to start, grow and expand their business ventures to increase business success in the Greater Louisville Area
- Provide business services including validating business ideas, one-on-one coaching, training, business plan development, marketing strategies development, industry research, financial forecasting, operational planning, business technical assistance, business modeling and financial coaching
- Assist with loan funding programs and all aspects of microenterprise programing, micro lending, and helping business owners become strong money managers to create small business success
- Develop, implement, deliver training, educational and consulting services to support aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners
- Support aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners as they access capital, business tools and resources
- Create marketing plans to support small business owners as they bring a new business market
- Write reports, process paperwork, manage reporting on multiple business ventures, track results, and make presentations
- Support outreach strategies, create and maintain external relationships with partners to identify future client opportunities
- Analyze business trends and data to determine potential opportunities
- Network and develop relationships with diverse neighborhoods and communities and cultivate long-term relationships with the clients, aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners and community business leaders
- Support new program initiatives, strong problem solver
- Work as a member of a collaborative team in diverse communities and neighborhoods and within the organization
Who would you report to:
Director of JFCS Navigate
Qualifications, Competencies and Characteristics
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration/management, communications and marketing or equivalent experience in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Previous experience in microenterprise development or managing for-profit business units/operations
- Experience managing a book of clients, including tracking of business technical assistance & services provided
- Experience providing business financial coaching, business coaching, loan packaging and guidance, and business plan development
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business trends and data to determine potential opportunities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience making presentations and conducting engaging and interactive training programs
- Experience with a broad array of business topics, to include business management, promotional and brand marketing, business operations, and financial forecasting/planning
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage shifting priorities
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
- Bilingual a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evening and weekends
