Radford Racing School, currently has a job opening for an on-site, full-time Social Media and Marketing Assistant. This position will be responsible for managing the Radford Racing School’s social media platforms, developing marketing strategies, and creating engaging content to promote our courses, events, and brand.

Responsibilities:

Social Media Management

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging, on-brand content, including posts, stories, and reels for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Scheduling and Publishing: Plan and execute a consistent posting schedule across all social media platforms.
  • Community Engagement: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions promptly to foster positive relationships with followers.
  • Analytics Tracking: Track and analyze social media performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Content Strategy & Collaboration

  • Campaign Development: Assist in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns that align with the Radford Racing School's objectives.
  • Brand Collaboration: Assist in ensuring all content aligns with the brand’s voice, aesthetic, and strategic goals.
  • Cross-Departmental Support: Collaborate with instructors, drivers, and event coordinators to capture behind-the-scenes content and in-house promotional content.

Marketing Support

  • Event Marketing: Assist at trade shows, special programs, and on-site events.
  • On-Site Content: Attend events to capture live content, including photography, video, and interviews.
  • Graphic Design: Assist in marketing assets, such as banners, ads, and flyers, using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.

Trend Analysis

  • Industry Research: Stay updated on social media trends, algorithms, and best practices to ensure the Radford Racing School remains competitive and innovative.
  • Competitor Monitoring: Analyze competitor campaigns to identify opportunities and strategies for differentiation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor’s or associate degree in marketing, communications, film or related field is required.
  • Experience: 2 or more years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or similar role. Photography or film experience is a plus. This may include experience gained through freelancing, personal, or professional work.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
  • Experience with graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and video editing (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere) is preferred.
  • Photography or film experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and email marketing platforms (MailChimp, Constant Contact) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
