The Social Media Manager will enhance Swagelok's established brand voice, crafting and executing social media strategies that showcase Swagelok's value proposition to diverse stakeholders, including customers, associates, candidates, and community members. This role requires the ability to think strategically and develop engaging content for the company's social media platforms.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute Swagelok’s social media strategy and content plan, tailoring approaches based on specific audience and platform requirements
  • Write engaging and appropriate copy for social media posts, ensuring consistency across messages and channels and alignment with Swagelok’s editorial and brand guidelines
  • Schedule and post all social media content via a content scheduling tool
  • Identify and implement effective strategies and tactics to increase both user engagement and audience size on each of Swagelok’s social media platforms
  • Prepare reporting and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of content strategy and channels; develop and implement data-driven recommendations and adjustments
  • Oversee community management activities, ensuring responses align with the Swagelok brand and social media playbook; escalate complex interactions to internal teams
  • Manage social media vendor focused on community management and, as needed, strategic counsel
  • Maintain the social media playbook, including reviewing and benchmarking regularly to identify updates or evolutions needed
  • Partner with and provide guidance to the digital marketing team on paid social media strategies to ensure integration with organic social program
  • Represent social media strategy and best practices to senior leaders throughout the organization to inform strategies and identify future content
  • Align and collaborate with program stakeholders, including Legal, Human Resources, Marketing Communications, Employer Brand, etc.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or other related liberal arts field, or related experience
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in communications, public relations, marketing, and/or content marketing, demonstrating increased roles and responsibilities
  • Demonstrated success in managing social media for a B2B company
  • Experience using Sprout Social or similar tool
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven experience cultivating messaging to different audiences
  • Track-record of staying up to date with the latest social media trends, including emerging platforms and new styles and formats for social media content


Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or other related liberal arts field, or related experience
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in communications, public relations, marketing, and/or content marketing, demonstrating increased roles and responsibilities
  • Demonstrated success in leveraging social media for a B2B company
  • Experience using Sprout Social or similar tool
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proven experience cultivating messaging to different audiences
  • Track-record of staying up to date with the latest social media trends, including emerging platforms and new styles and formats for social media content
