Position Details:

The Social Media Production Assistant is an entry-level role focused on supporting the production of high-quality social media content, assisting with influencer marketing programs, and providing general production and scheduling support. This position bridges the creative and logistical aspects of social media content creation, ensuring smooth workflows and effective execution of campaigns.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and eager to learn about social media production and influencer marketing. They should also be comfortable appearing in video content when needed, with a passion for engaging audiences across platforms. This role offers opportunities to gain hands-on experience, develop creative skills, and grow within the digital marketing and production space.

Job Duty Function: Social Media Content Creation and Support | 40% Time

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Scope:

  • Assist in brainstorming and developing creative ideas for social media content across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
  • Create engaging video content, including short-form videos, reels, and ads, aligning with brand guidelines.
  • Write concise, engaging scripts for video ads and social media content, incorporating persuasive calls-to-action (CTAs).
  • Be willing to appear in social media videos or content when needed to help convey brand messaging.

Regularly Expected Tasks:

  • Research trends, hashtags, and competitor content to inspire new ideas.
  • Support the production of on-screen text, captions, and subtitles to enhance video accessibility and engagement.
  • Write engaging descriptions and supporting social media posts to complement video content.

Job Duty Function: Influencer Marketing Program Support | 25% Time

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Scope:

  • Coordinate with influencers to ensure alignment with brand campaigns and goals.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling influencer marketing campaigns, including deliverables and timelines.
  • Track influencer performance metrics to evaluate the success of campaigns.

Regularly Expected Tasks:

  • Communicate with influencers to ensure smooth execution of partnerships.
  • Maintain detailed records of influencer agreements, content schedules, and campaign results.
  • Collaborate with marketing and production teams to align influencer campaigns with broader brand strategies.

Job Duty Function: On-Set Production Assistance | 20% Time

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Scope:

  • Provide hands-on support for video shoots, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for clients and crew.
  • Set up and break down equipment, props, and sets as needed.

Regularly Expected Tasks:

  • Run errands for supplies, meals, or other needs to enhance the client and crew experience.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe, clean, and organized set environment.
  • Distribute and collect scripts, schedules, and other production materials.

Job Duty Function: Scheduling and Administrative Support | 15% Time

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Scope:

  • Manage scheduling and logistics for social media content production and influencer campaigns.
  • Assist with call sheets, daily schedules, and communication between departments.

Regularly Expected Tasks:

  • Track production timelines and ensure all team members are informed of updates.
  • Coordinate with the production office and marketing teams to streamline workflows.
  • Maintain organized records of production documents, schedules, and deliverables.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of social media platforms, trends, and influencer marketing.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to fast-paced production environments.
  • Willingness to appear in social media video content.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A decent following or established presence on a social media platform (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube).
  • Familiarity with video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Canva (basic experience acceptable).
  • Knowledge of scriptwriting, content creation, or video optimization for platforms like YouTube and TikTok.
  • Interest in influencer culture and digital content trends.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and willingness to take on diverse tasks.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Comfortable working in hybrid environments, including on-site production locations and remote settings.
  • Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to 25 pounds (e.g., production equipment, props).
  • Flexibility to adapt to variable production schedules.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.66 - $17.50 per hour
