The Social Media Specialist at Motherlove will develop and manage social media strategies to promote organic herbal products, engage with customers, and communicate the brand's mission focused on motherhood and sustainability.

Schedule: 4 day work week, Monday -Thursday . While this is a remote position, some preference will be given to applicants in the greater Fort Collins/Boulder/Denver area for ease of occasionally visiting headquarters.

Summary of Position
The Social Media Specialist is a key member of the Motherlove marketing team, working under the direction of the Marketing Director and in collaboration with the marketing and sales teams as well as agency partners. This role’s primary objective is to communicate and raise awareness of Motherlove’s mission, values, and high-quality product line, while also sharing the empowering journey of motherhood with our partners and consumers through Motherlove’s social media channels. Key responsibilities include social media platform strategy and management, content creation, and Partner management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy
- Create and execute a strategic social media plan that delivers KPI goals, drives continuous growth, and achieves measurable results within allocated budgets, ensuring cost-effective success and maximizing ROI.
- Develop content that aligns with Brand Guidelines and complies with FDA/FTC regulations, while covering engaging topics such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, postpartum recovery, baby/toddler advice, and product education.
- Assist in building out the annual Editorial Calendar and manage it day to day.
- Oversee the administration, analytics, reporting, and optimization of marketing platforms, leveraging data-driven insights to improve performance.
- Analyze social media and partnership platforms through KPI analytics and develop social media strategies per platform in coordination with the Marketing Director.
- Create plans that use analytics and research to find new ways to attract or engage customers, including promotions, trends, contests, or other methods.
- Assist in tracking competitive activity and formulating strategic responses as a brand.
- Assist in designing, compiling, and analyzing consumer and other stakeholder surveys and secondary market research, including product innovation.
- Assist in social media advertising efforts and strategy, including ownership of boosted content when applicable.
Social Media
- Manage the front and backend of all social media accounts, including social shop platforms.
- Ensure all social media accounts are maintained daily or as needed including incoming UGC and consumer inquiries.
- Schedule, execute, and monitor all content posted through the social media scheduling app in addition to managing manual posting of video content.
- Facilitate and engage in online conversations with customers٫ including responding to queries or questions from consumers. Redirecting inquiries to Customer Service as needed.
Content & Marketing Assets
- Create all branded video content for social platforms, trainings, and ad hoc needs. Content includes relatable motherhood topics, branded information, and trends.
- Work with Designer for static image content creation as needed and content generation of social stories, infographics, and similar material as assigned.
- Execute content with quick and efficient timing to produce assets that follow trends and viral styles.
- Coordinate the sourcing of UGC video including working with photographers.
- Create educational brand training on product offerings as needed for sales team, reps, and accounts.
- Coordinate with Designer and Production Team to maintain process for ordering literature, swag, and other Marketing materials.
- Coordinate with blog writers to execute content calendar for blogs, blog SEO, and Shopify uploads.
- Utilize blog content for social media copywriting and execution.
Brand Partnership Management
- Create and oversee the Brand Ambassador Teams including asset and contract execution.
- Oversee website Affiliate application approvals and paid partnerships.
- Oversee TikTok Shop partnerships and communication.
- Establish strong relationships with industry experts, content creators, influencers, and like-minded brands.
- Organize and execute giveaways including brand partnerships, assets, and posting requirements.
- Coordinate event sponsorships and coordinate with Designer for event asset creation.
Other Job Responsibilities
- Help with ongoing projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Support customer service team as needed during team PTO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or Communications or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in social media and content creation.
- Understanding and appreciation of the natural products industry and/or CPG.
- Experience in the parenting/baby industry is a plus.
- Experience with filming, editing, and creating social media video content.
- Experience operating a brand’s social media account(s).
- Experience with social media advertising is a plus.
- Comfortable being present in external content both with their environment, face, and voice.
- Exceptional written communication skills with outstanding proofreading and editing capabilities.
- Attention to detail and follow-through as well as the ability to work with the ‘big picture’ in mind.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and social skills; ability to project empathy and inclusiveness.
- Strong project management skills and self-motivation; ability to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision to deliver assigned projects on time and within budget.
- A ‘continuous improvement’ mindset comfortable with creating, following, and improving processes.
- Proficient in social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office platform and Google platforms.
- Proficient with creating and editing content in Canva.
- Team player with ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with a high-performing team of co-workers and third-party partners.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- While this is a remote position, preference will be given to applicants in the greater Fort Collins/Boulder/Denver area for ease of occasionally visiting headquarters.
- This position is currently remote/work from home but will require occasional visits to headquarters.
- This position necessitates frequent use of standard office equipment including Windows PC and iPhone.
- This position requires stationary positioning for the majority of each day.
- May be required to lift to 25 lbs. on occasion.
- May require working under stressful conditions due to deadlines and time constraints.
Work Schedule
- Motherlove adheres to a 4-day 40-hour work week: Monday through Thursday. However, this position maintains Instagram and TikTok accounts Friday-Sunday as part of a 40-hour work week, as needed.
- Meetings will be based on MST as Motherlove HQ is in Colorado. Out-of-state employees may be required to work outside of the above-listed office hours depending on their time zone.
- Additional time may be required as needed.
