Social Media Specialist - Temporary Position
LOCATION
Temporary position at Mercy, required through August 2025.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, public relations, or similar field; experience managing multiple social media profiles and projects, strong social media skills, and ability to create engaging content.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop dynamic content for social media, expand engagement, collaborate with CRM and Media Relations teams, and align strategies with Mercy's goals to support consumer acquisition and retention.

The Social Media Specialist will enhance Mercy's social media presence and engagement while managing the brand's voice and reputation across relevant platforms.

Overview:
The Social Media Specialist will develop dynamic content, expand engagement and build upon Mercys growing reputation across all relevant social media platforms. The Social Media Specialist will collaborate with the CRM and Media Relations/Social Media teams to execute tactics that align with Mercys strategic goals and initiatives in support of consumer acquisition, retention and engagement. The Social Media Specialist must have a comprehensive understanding of social media and the opportunities and risks associated with being the social voice of a brand.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Ability to manage several social media profiles, pages and projects simultaneously, meeting time-sensitive deadlines- Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media- Understands digital marketing campaigns and how to integrate social media as a tactic- Understands winning engagement/customer service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution- Ability to shift priorities as needed and remain flexible and calm in challenging situations - Ability to work as part of a team that is both local and virtualSkill Requirements- Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Social Studio experience a plus- Strong social media skills and knowledge - Ability to create photos, videos, blogs, live feeds and other content specific to social media in a timely manner- Organized, reliable self-starter with strong creative thinking, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and interpersonal skills- Excellent written and verbal communications skills - Enthusiasm and ability to expand skills and knowledge in a changing environment- Mindfulness of evolving tool and tactics for effective online communication (new apps, platforms, etc.)- Knowledge of search engine optimization, web traffic metrics and cultivation of inbound interest- Impeccable follow-through and ability to multi-task and track various stories and projects- Collaborative and willing to receive feedback from a variety of sources- Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data and use in decision making- Ability to work independently and collaboratively- Creative thinker and innovator- Possess high degree of integrity and moral character
