Social Media Coordinator position at iHIT Consultancy, developing and implementing effective social media strategies to enhance brand presence and engage audience across various platforms.

Overview

inclusive Health Innovation Together (iHIT) is looking for a Social Media Impact Coordinator! In this role, you will be given impactful opportunities to extend social media as enabler to Health Equity through a healthcare lens.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies that enhance our brand presence and engage our audience across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media marketing, advertising, and public relations, along with proficiency in graphic design to provide directions and guidance to our creative team.

This work will entail exploring social media to build VaxEquity and iHIT engagement, leading and activating VEEC Ambassadors and Fellows to execute social media plan and measuring/ capturing social media impact. Our aim is to increase vaccine confidence and health equity in areas that are under-served and under-accessed. Applicants in the greater NJ area will also have opportunities to meet with the iHIT coordination team on local projects. We currently serve communities across New Jersey.

The role is immediately available with approximately 15 hours per week. We offer a competitive hourly wage, high impact environment, and leadership development. Correspondence between the iHIT team with our check-ins, scopes of responsibility, and task assignment will be remote but social media community engagement efforts in local areas may require in-person attendance or coordination of efforts to capture content.

The Vaccination Equity Education Coalition (VEEC) (www.vaxequityedu.com) aims to build vaccine confidence through community education and STEAM curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) across various social media platforms.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, customer feedback, and engagement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns.
  • Utilize SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines.
  • Analyze performance metrics and generate reports to assess the effectiveness of social media initiatives.
  • Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of online advertising campaigns using platforms like Google Ads.
  • Conduct proofreading of all content to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in social media marketing.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in social media marketing or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of advertising strategies on platforms such as Google and social media networks.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic design software.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce principles and practices is a plus.
  • Excellent photography skills for creating engaging visual content.
  • Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
