Social Media Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Social Media Specialist to join our team in Minneapolis. This role is perfect for a creative, strategic thinker with a passion for social media and digital storytelling. You’ll be responsible for creating, curating, and managing social media content across multiple platforms, helping shape Digital Architects’ online presence, as well as crafting compelling digital experiences for our clients.
Primary Requirements:
- Degree or certification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required)
- 2+ years of experience managing social media accounts for brands, preferably in an agency or in-house role
- Proven track record of creating and executing successful social media campaigns
- Proficiency with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
- Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Primary Skills:
- Expertise in creating engaging, brand-aligned content across various social platforms
- Strong understanding of social media algorithms, best practices, and content trends
- Basic graphic design skills, preferably with experience in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in community management and client engagement
- Ability to analyze and report on key social media metrics to drive campaign strategy
- Familiarity with SEO, social media ads, and paid campaign management
Additional Skills:
- Understanding of audience segmentation, targeting, and digital advertising
- Knowledge of trends and emerging tools in digital and social media
- Familiarity with influencer marketing and brand collaboration
- Basic understanding of video editing for social platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels)
- Ability to develop and follow content calendars and campaign schedules effectively
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute social media strategies that align with client goals and brand messaging
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across various social media channels
- Monitor and respond to social media interactions to foster a strong online community
- Analyze performance metrics and use insights to optimize campaigns and improve engagement
- Collaborate with the digital marketing and creative teams to ensure cohesive branding
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices
- Assist with other digital marketing projects and content creation as needed
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Support website content updates and basic web support as needed
- Conduct social media audits and provide insights to improve client social media presence
- Coordinate influencer outreach and manage brand partnerships where applicable
- Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
