As the Software Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption and success of Hikvision's software solutions, including video management systems (VMS), cloud platforms, and AI analytics tools. This multifaceted position combines expertise in marketing, product lifecycle management, and the coordination of technical support resources to ensure a seamless customer experience. By aligning product offerings with market demands, the manager strategically promotes innovative software solutions that meet industry needs and enhance Hikvision's market presence.
Working closely with local, regional, and global headquarters, the Software Product Manager ensures comprehensive support and collaboration across teams to achieve business objectives. Based on-site at the Hikvision USA headquarters in City of Industry, California, this role emphasizes hands-on leadership in orchestrating product strategies and resource allocation. Through these efforts, the manager fosters customer satisfaction and positions Hikvision as a leader in cutting-edge software technology.
What are the essential job functions
Product Marketing Strategy and SW Revenue Growth
- Build and execute the software strategy with US sales team, US and Global leadership to achieve annual sales growth target.
- Spearhead the full lifecycle development and management of software solutions using the 4P (Product, Place, Pricing, Promotion) framework.
- Lead go-to-market (GTM) strategies for software launches, aligning with regional leadership and key stakeholders.
- Perform competitive analysis to shape product positioning and market differentiation.
Customer Communication and Sales Enablement
- Develop and deliver impactful messaging, training, and sales tools (e.g., brochures, presentations, and technical guides).
- Organize and conduct training sessions to educate internal teams and customers on the value and features of software products. Working with L&D and SSE closely.
- Organize integrated marketing initiatives to drive software adoption and customer engagement.
Post-Sales Support and Close-loop Analysis
- Act as the primary liaison between customers and R&D teams to address and resolve major technical challenges promptly
- Leverage insights from support interactions to enhance product development and inform the product roadmap.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Additional Responsibilities
- Partner with upstream product management teams based in Hikvision’s China headquarters to align product strategies.
- Collaborate with US marketing teams to ensure consistent execution of campaigns.
- Participate in additional projects or initiatives as assigned by company leadership.
What You’ll Need (Required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Information Technology or related field from accredited four-year college or university.
- 5+ years of Product Marketing, Product Management, or Solution Architect.
- Fluency in Mandarin (oral and written) a must.
- Technical knowledge and experience with VMS, SaaS, and cloud-based solutions.
- Proven track record in managing product lifecycles and executing GTM strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
What Else We Look For (Preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent recognized project management credential.
- Experience and familiarity in surveillance, IP camera, DVRs, electronics equipment, and instrument-related industry familiarity with CRM programs (Salesforce.com a plus).

What is the compensation and benefits
This role offers a competitive base salary and a performance-based incentive structure, with On-Target Earnings designed to reward exceptional outcomes. The On-Target Earnings for this position is $85,000.00 - $128,125.00 (highly experienced).
The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience). This role offers the potential for elevation to a Senior Software Product Manager position, contingent upon the candidate's qualifications, experience, and demonstrated expertise.
