QUALIFICATIONS

The Digital Marketing Specialist will enhance Hannaford's digital presence by developing effective marketing strategies that drive brand relevance and customer engagement, while collaborating with various teams and agencies.

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for providing a cohesive and impactful digital experience across owned and paid channels. This key channel lead will craft plans for driving brand relevance, consideration, connection, and conversion across digital channels, in partnership with agencies, brand marketing teams and cross-functional business units. Scope includes planning and mapping of journeys and assessing recommendations and options in support of Hannaford’s business objectives, all while overseeing and optimizing digital media strategies and digital ad campaigns to engage customers, increase traffic, and drive sales. The position requires a digital expert that can successfully balance the art and science of marketing, demonstrating consumer and creative understanding, a sense of urgency, and the ability to manage both strategic and tactical work. The successful candidate is a collaborative leader and experienced marketer with broad creative and channel experience.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead development of digital plans and document seasonal/promotional content for the website, mobile blocks, and external digital marketing executions based on business objectives.
Effectively partner with creative agency to align on briefs for digital and assess recommendations for external digital marketing (channels, partners, properties, timing). Partner to optimize plans for business and brand impact.
Utilize qualitative and quantitative customer data to build informed understanding about customer behaviors and needs; translate insight into actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to determine the viability of new content, promotions, or user experiences. Formulate and articulate a POV.
Contribute to the building of strategic marketing briefs and guidance of all digital executions focused on KPIs, job ticket creation, SEO copy, tagging, tactical plans, proofing and final execution. Initiate marketing plans as significant platform enhancements are released.
Coordinate and direct informative reports for stakeholders utilizing various customer data sources that provide insights relating to key program KPIs.
Evaluate (with Manager) infrastructure changes and improvements that may affect the go-to-market experience for Hannaford customers. Adjust as needed.
Maintain the Yext platform for our store listings
Partner with the QA department and Product Owner in the development and execution of user acceptance testing
Research and troubleshoot digital issues, bugs and defects and work to prioritize and achieve resolutions.
Support the Marketing function in demonstrating growth impact, customer centricity, and a collaborative approach to work in everything we do
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's DegreeMinimum of five years of experience with website and/or mobile app strategy, site functionality and user experience in a transactional environment.
Minimum of five years of experience in an e-commerce or online marketing role with responsibility for user experience, e-commerce, online marketing and/or online business strategy.
Experience with web analytics tools and ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
Knowledge of online consumer and mobile shopping habits
Experience managing and leading complex online projects
Experience aligning site strategy with business objectives
Experience with Google Analytics and mobile app performance measurement and analytics
Firm understanding of user experience principles
Domain knowledge in optimizing search products is a plus
Skills and Abilities:
Proven expertise with key digital disciplines/platforms including creative and technical website development, user experience, SEM, SEO, mobile marketing, email/CRM marketing, usability research, and social media marketing along with associated KPIs.
Understanding of web technologies like Javascript, HTML & CSS is a strong plus
Demonstrated aptitude and willingness to learn new analytical methods, software applications, and tools
Familiar with agile and waterfall methodologies
Strong experience writing or contributing to business requirements
Advanced knowledge of Excel with experience in performing analysis
Experience managing vendor relationships
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in parallel while working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively partner across functions and levels to achieve desired outcomes
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Strong project management and organization skills
Proven experience presenting to small and mid-size groups
The Salary Range for this position is $72,880 - $109,320
