SMR Collectibles seeks a Sports Collectibles Marketing Coordinator to drive digital marketing efforts and enhance the brand's presence in the sports collectibles market.

SMR Collectibles is a growing company with a strong online sports collectibles business. We are currently looking to hire an individual to fill our Sports Collectibles Marketing Coordinator. This person should be knowledgeable and experienced with all marketing principles, and have great communication skills. We are looking to expand our team with honest, reliable and responsible individuals who can follow directions and complete tasks with diligence. Available employment opportunities are full-time.

Ideal candidate will have:

Digital Marketing Skills: Proficiency in social media platforms, email campaigns, SEO, and paid advertising to promote sports collectibles online.

Content Creation: Ability to create engaging content that resonates with fans of sports and collectors, including blog posts, videos, and newsletters.

Brand Awareness: Experience building and managing brand presence

Product Expertise: Familiarity with different types of sports memorabilia such as cards, autographs, jerseys, and limited-edition items. Knowledge of the value, rarity, and history behind various collectibles is key.

Market Trends: Ability to keep up with trends in the collectibles market, understanding which items are gaining popularity and why.

Strong Written and Verbal Communication: Ability to craft compelling narratives and product descriptions that appeal to the target market, as well as communicate effectively with vendors, partners, and customers.

Team Player: Ability to collaborate with other staff

Innovative Campaigns: The ability to come up with unique and creative marketing ideas that stand out in the competitive sports collectibles market.

Visual Eye: An understanding of design elements that make marketing materials visually appealing to collectors and fans.

Customer Engagement: Ability to build relationships with customers, collectors, and fans, responding to inquiries, managing online communities, and generating excitement around new product launches.

CRM and Marketing Tools: Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, email marketing platforms, and marketing automation tools to streamline efforts and build strong customer relationships.

E-Commerce Knowledge: Experience in e-commerce platforms, particularly those related to collectibles and merchandise sales.

Staying Current: Ability to quickly adapt to new trends in the sports and collectibles industry and adjust marketing strategies accordingly.

Resilience: Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where quick changes are common.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create advertisements, email campaigns, and social media posts.
  • Create marketing campaigns using Constant Contact.
  • Enforce brand marketing guidelines in trademarks, logos, and publications.
  • Manage the company website
  • Analyze current marketing strategies and develop new and improved marketing practices.
  • Take part in the creation of new marketing programs and develop materials to support those programs.
  • Use Google Analytics to examine how our online marketing practices are working and make suggestions for changes based on your findings.
  • Use customer data to determine changing customer demographics and suggest ideas for expanding our key demographic base.
  • Prepare announcements related to new product launches and any other changes in the company.
  • Work closely with the business owner in coordinating scheduling, and planning trade shows.
  • Help manage our project management software monday.com
  • Answer phones, and communicate possible leads to management.

Job Skills & Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills and outgoing personality.
  • High sense of urgency.
  • Intellectual curiosity.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with: all social media platforms, e-mail marketing, physical marketing materials.
  • Knowledge of best SEO practices and Google Analytics.
  • Experienced in Adobe Photoshop/Canva
  • Experience using Constant Contact/Mail Chimp.

Preferred:

  • 2 years’ experience in a marketing position
  • 2 years experience with sports collectibles & memorabilia
  • Experience managing corporate social media accounts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Paid time off

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
