Join Granicus as a Senior Data & Insights Consultant to improve citizen experiences through data-driven insights and strategic digital communications for government clients.

GXG is a fast-growing agency at a high-growth tech company, seeking a Senior Data & Insights Consultant to operationalize, analyze and measure performance of campaigns within a strategic digital communications program. The ideal candidate will have expertise in reporting on multi-channel outreach and conveying actionable insights and optimization recommendations in a cohesive, customer-friendly manner.
Our Senior Data & Insights Consultants digest and analyze data and derive insights, which they build into custom reports and dashboard visualizations, to convey a narrative in line with our customers’ digital communications goals and priorities, applying intuition and experience to lead to actionable recommendations.
Strong candidates are highly strategic, very comfortable with numbers, and able to communicate the narrative that the numbers are showing effectively and calmly, even under deadline pressure and with customers. Candidates should have experience analyzing multi-channel outreach and segment behavior, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on how best to demonstrate results to our customers, and convey actionable insights and optimization recommendations in a cohesive, customer-friendly manner. Top candidates will have strong experience in building actionable, client-facing dashboards incorporating multiple data sources.

What your impact will look like:

    • Directly ensure quality assurance of project deliverables including strategies, messaging, reporting, dashboarding and presentations for all client projects.
    • Mentor and coach practice area members guiding them in their skills development and providing oversight and feedback on their deliverables
    • Lead GXG team members through internal trainings and external opportunities.
    • Strengthen value and efficiency of current GXG offerings
    • Expand new and custom GXG offerings by incorporating customer feedback, scaling offerings to assure capture in varying budget scenarios, and synergizing with the product groups.
    • Partner with other teams to improve efficiency of cross-functional delivery.
    • Support GXG team members and other department resources to manage the scope, timeline, and delivery of project support and deliverables.
    • Oversee supervision of cross functional operations and contractors.
    • Provide expertise as adviser to team members and clients.
    • Develop, grow and manage strategic customer relationships
    • Closely collaborate with GXG multi-disciplinary teams, vendor partners and client contacts to operationalize and measure performance of campaigns and drive strategic recommendations for optimizations
    • Oversee and execute creation of detailed reports and dashboard visualizations, often with data sets from multiple sources, which showcase Granicus’ and our client’s success in the appropriate context and focus on storytelling with data
    • Oversee all tracking, QA and reporting across digital communications touchpoints
    • Present reports and visualization in an easily digestible manner to non-analyst audiences, including internal teams and external customers
    • Manage and resolve the key data issues involving quality and consistency of data for analytical purposes
    • Represent Granicus in speaking roles, panel participation and conferences.
    • Drive organic growth through a consultative approach with current customers to create demand and identify new business opportunities for GXG services and Granicus products.
    • Support the creation of success materials, thought-leadership blog posts, case studies, and other media under the direction of GXG leadership and in partnership with Marketing.

You will love this role if you have / are:

    • 8+ years of experience in digital marketing analysis, working with external customers, preferably in a digital or consulting agency serving government or at a government agency with a focus on large communications programs
    • Be a master of analyzing and interpreting data from digital communications, including the Granicus family of products, email marketing, website analytics, social networks, surveys, websites to the next new thing.
    • Have experience and/or enthusiasm for working with government
    • Consistently lead, produce results and manage scope for simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment with on-time, on-track, and on-budget deliverables
    • Demonstrate excitement and expertise in developing digital strategies, growing digital audiences, building and facilitating digital experiences
    • Expertly enlist and direct internal stakeholders to help navigate within a client organization
    • Be passionate about public service and digital strategy and communication
    • Demonstrate strong ability to combine analytical and communications skills by storytelling through data, digesting data to derive insights and convey the narrative to clients in line with their goals.
    • Experienced in building out reporting tools and dashboard visualizations. Quicksight and/or Tableau experience a plus.

    • Due to security requirements (Public Trust), this position is currently open only to U.S. citizens. Additionally, you must have been a resident of the U.S. during at least three (3) of the last five (5) years. Exceptions are possible for applications who worked for the U. S. Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or military capacity; and/or been a dependent of a U.S. Federal or military employee serving overseas. Such applicants must be able to provide state-side reference coverage. State-side coverage information is required to make a suitability or security determination.
    • Prior to the shutdown for the Covid-19 pandemic, GXG staff were expected to be available for on-site customer meetings with our federal, state and local customers. This included travel in some instances. As our customers' expectations and responses to the pandemic continue to evolve, GXG team members may once again be expected to be available for in-person customer meetings.
    • This position will be fully remote, but candidates must be able to operate in the Eastern time zone to support client needs. Location in Eastern or Central time zones is ideal.

Security Requirements:

    • Responsible for Granicus information security by appropriately preserving the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) of Granicus information assets in accordance with the company's information security program.
    • Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.
$80,000 - $95,000 a year
Listed range is the base salary only and dependent on candidate experience and qualifications. Bonuses and incentives are above and beyond this range. Compensation also will include an extensive and comprehensive range of benefits.
