SHORT DESCRIPTION
Seeking an experienced Senior Director of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) to lead Conair's DTC efforts, driving growth and ensuring a seamless customer journey across online channels.
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive DTC strategy that aligns with Conair’s overall business objectives and enhances the brand’s position in the market.
- Analyze market trends and consumer insights to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities within the DTC space.
- Lead a diverse team in an evolving and matrixed, multi-brand environment. Ensure team is functioning efficiently and deliverables are met as appropriate regarding development, maintenance, marketing, merchandising of sites for all brands in the division.
- Merchandising and Site Experience Oversight:
- Lead the merchandising strategy, including product selection, pricing, and promotions, to maximize sales and margin performance.
- Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to align product launches with DTC goals and ensure effective inventory management.
- Oversee the design and functionality of the DTC website to ensure an engaging, user-friendly experience that drives conversions and customer loyalty.
- Implement best practices for web navigation, search functionality, and site optimization to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Commercial Leadership
- Create, monitor, and oversee the DTC budget and ensure gross margin, SG&A, and operating profit targets are met / exceeded.
- Establish operating rhythm and track against clear KPIs, driving action and accountability across the enterprise to deliver the needed outcomes.
- Marketing Activation:
- Execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive traffic, engage customers, and increase brand awareness across digital channels including email, social media, and paid advertising.
- Partner with the brand marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with broader marketing initiatives.
- Planning and Analytics:
- Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of DTC initiatives and make informed recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports to executive leadership on DTC performance, highlighting key insights, trends, and action plans.
- Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing DTC team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Set clear performance objectives and provide ongoing feedback to ensure team members are aligned with departmental goals and professional growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with various teams, including sales, supply chain, finance, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to DTC operations and strategy execution.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the DTC team and other departments to promote alignment and shared objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
