SHORT DESCRIPTION

The Sr. Director of Field Marketing & Consumer Engagement leads a team to execute marketing programs that drive sales growth and market share improvement while ensuring alignment with brand standards and strategies.

The Sr. Director of Field Marketing & Consumer Engagement’s purpose is to ensure the effective execution of MEC Marketing programs throughout their marketing geography. In addition, the goal of these programs is to drive sales growth and market share improvement. The Sr. Director oversees a team of Field Marketing Managers, Consumer Engagement Regional Field Managers & Consumer Engagement Managers, Collegiate Managers, Sr. Ambassadors & MAT’s providing accountability, facilitating communication and alignment between the Bottling Partners, Business Unit and HQ. The Sr. Director is the primary link between Brand Marketing’s strategies and the Commercial & Bottling teams. He/she ensures the teams collaboratively work together on one marketing plan in alignment with Marketing goals and brand standards. The Sr. Director reports into the VP of Field Marketing & Consumer Engagement.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead communication of MEC’s National Marketing message to the Field Marketing Teams, Consumer Engagement Teams, Collegiate Teams, the regional BU team, and Bottling Partners within the respective territory. Establish relationships to work cross functionally with all facets of MEC Marketing to ensure the development of required sales tools and programs.
  • Provide proper training and coaching to FMM’s, Consumer Engagement Teams, Collegiate Teams and BU Leadership on brand strategy, brand standards, processes and procedures, best practices, and execution expectations. Ensure all regional marketing programs are processed properly.
  • Ensure Monster Energy’s Field Sales teams receive best-in-class marketing support from Monster Energy and thatmarketing programs are leveraged to their fullest extent. Programs include, but are not limited to; new product launches, exclusive items, product re-launches, price promotions, custom consumer promotions, pass-through sponsorships, and local event activations.
  • Oversee Field Marketing & Consumer Engagement Teams in the development of regional marketing initiatives to ensure they include the relevant parties and that the subject matter is on-brand and all legal and logistical requirements are met.
  • Work with Shopper Marketing Teams to ensure account-specific pass-through programs are matched with the accounts offering the highest ROI and are leveraged to their fullest extent within each market. Pass-through sponsorship offers include but are not limited to: Supercross, Outdoor MX, NASCAR team sponsorship, UFC, Bellator and Pro Bull Riding.
  • Host regular conference calls and quarterly meetings with FMM’s & Consumer Engagement Teams facilitating communication & instilling accountability for program execution. The Field Marketing Manager is the primary link between the Business Unit Sales teams, Bottlers & headquarters. The Consumer Engagement Teams will provide support to the FMM’s and all local events, periodically traveling to support events outside the territory.
  • Remain connected and work in collaboration with SVP of Marketing Operations, other Sr Directors of Field Marketing/Consumer Engagement, Sr Director of Shopper Marketing, Sr Director of Partnership Marketing, and all other Marketing Operations leadership.
  • Track and manage a BU Field Marketing budget.
  • Work with Field Marketing Managers & Consumer Engagement Teams in the trade throughout the year sharing best practices.
  • Perform additional marketing duties as assigned periodically.

Position Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 10-years of combined experience in the areas of Field Marketing, Sales, Customer Marketing, Brand Management and Distributor Relations in the beverage/packaged goods industry.
  • Must have been with the same firm for a minimum of 2-years.
  • Experience effectively coaching and managing a team of people.
  • Must have a strong sense of urgency.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be a collaborative team player.
  • Must be decisive and enforce brand standards.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
  • Candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or other related field.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Microsoft Outlook, the Internet and social media.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand & execute Digital Marketing strategies.

Base Pay Range: USD $125,000 - USD $170,000 (+)
