QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, 10 years of relevant experience, and 6 years of demonstrated leadership; MBA preferred, with strong pharmaceutical background and experience in Strategic Marketing.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
As Senior Director, you will lead the global pharmaceutical strategy and development, driving innovation and market performance for Alcon's glaucoma and dry eye brands.
- Responsible for achieving on or above target performance for ~$600m global pharmaceutical portfolio – including priority brands in Glaucoma (Rocklatan, Rhopressa, and Simbrinza) and Dry Eye (Eysuvis)
- Work with Business Development & Licensing team to evaluate external development opportunities and to grow Alcon’s pharmaceutical portfolio
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive the innovation process (both product and commercial innovation) from development to first market launch in design markets. Co-lead Core team and deliver annual shared core team goals.
- Develop and deliver commercial strategic playbook, lead launch team, and partner to deliver core assets through commercial programming process.
- Develop strategic positioning and segmentation, representing the voice of the customer and act as the brand champion.
- Drive Market Access / Payer strategy and data for launch products.
- Work with global strategic insights to identify key unmet ECP and consumer needs. Develop, test, and refine new products, product improvements, and claims.
- Provide Core Team with solid, research-based information and recommendations to ensure that new products fill significant and profitable un-met needs.
- Own the mid-term innovation strategy to deliver sustainable and accretive growth aligned with the brand and franchise strategy.
- Analyze market trends, business performance, and competitive activity to help inform the global business strategies and priorities.
- Provide global commercial leadership into S&OP process (manufacturing planning), and capital requests.
- Provide annual brand guidance to regional partners to help inform local business plans.
- Collaborate with digital team to establish digital marketing and eCommerce strategy.
- Monitor and control brand budgets, forecasts, and expenses.
- Co-ordinate the communication of product-related information across the organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs.; Assoc.+14 yrs.; M.S.+7 yrs.; PhD+6 yrs.)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- 10 Years of Relevant Experience
- 6 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
- MBA preferred.
- Strong pharmaceutical background
- Experience working in a Strategic Marketing environment
- Proven ability to work and lead cross functionally
- Experience with Business Development evaluation
