Sr Financial Analyst
LOCATION
On-site at the new GD-OTS facility located in Mesquite, TX.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance, with 5-7 years of experience in a similar position. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and project management experience desired.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform economic research, analyze profit-and-loss statements, generate financial forecasts, track financial performance, and prepare financial models to influence business planning decisions. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and evaluate the impact of financial strategies.

Major Position Responsibilities:

Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects of public or private institutions
- Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units in order to track the organization's progress against financial goals.
- Reports current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision making.
- Analyzes cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements.

Basic Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance and/or Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education and Experience
- 5-7 years prior experience in a similar position
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree with discipline/major in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Analytical thinking skills and statiscical knowledge.
- Ability to meet deadlines and detail oriented.
- Microsoft Excel and database query capabilities.
- Must be able to gather data from multiple sources and synthesis/present findings and recommendations to a variety of audiences.

- Project Management experience
Preferred
- Experience with start ups, such as project planning, and establishing business processes, management systems, and work instructions is desired. This is an exciting opportunity to create the business processes, systems, and culture to stand up a high performing manufacturing operation.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
