As a Samsung Sr. Marketing Manager you will play a vital part in driving business results for our product portfolio sold at T-Mobile. This role will contribute by driving Samsung product launches with our partner and creating demand generation programs in T-Mobile marketing channels. To be successful, the candidate will have to be customer-focused, understanding T-Mobile’s business in order to make wise decisions to drive Samsung initiatives. This candidate will have impeccable verbal and written communication skills, capable of writing precise emails and facilitating productive customer meetings. The candidate must possess savvy brand management skills, and analytical prowess to create the most efficient marketing plans to reach target consumers.

The Samsung Sr. Marketing Manager will be expected to strategically and proactively solve complex business problems, own their business responsibilities and deliver innovative results-driven programs that advance our Samsung business objectives at T-Mobile. Business acumen is a must for this role; the candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of all facets of our Samsung business to be a successful influencer: Finance, Business Planning, Sales, Merchandising, Product, Supply Chain as well as Marketing.

The ideal candidate will be a team player, positive and passionate always looking to help support their work colleagues when demands arise. The candidate will have a background in a consumer-focused industry, preferably product marketing and working experience with an online, retail and/or account marketing organization. Agency or vendor management experience is a must.
Role and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Be a positive high performance team member of the Samsung T-Mobile account team.
  • Champion and drive forward Samsung management business objectives and strategies for the TMUS business.
  • Strategically own your business and proactively solve problems with innovative solutions.
  • Develop marketing strategies and tactics to achieve business objectives for product launches and local marketing programs at T-Mobile.
  • Create and propose marketing offers and programs that will contribute to portfolio sell out across T-Mobile business channels.
  • Partner with T-Mobile customers to develop and create joint success programs that drive Samsung sales and T-Mobile net adds (upgrading base customers and acquiring new).
  • Maintain impeccable customer service and communication with T-Mobile customer contacts.
  • Manage local marketing programs in concert with account sales team and T-Mobile area marketing managers insuring program supports drives increased traffic, incremental sales lift.
  • Ensure program recommendations have been fully vetted with business partners and that Samsung business planning supports program investment and ROI target.
  • Understand the key data elements and analysis required to design, recommend and evaluate marketing programs - such as forecasting, budgeting and calculating ROI sales lift, etc.
  • Have a keen sense for pricing and promotion and how you use it to drive a competitive advantage for your programs and recommendations.
  • Lead and support Samsung Go-to-Market product launches with account team and customer teams insuring marketing’s contribution to success.
  • Maintain healthy communication with Samsung brand team in order to receive necessary launch and program enablement support.
  • Know how to positively influence business relationships to advance key objectives while creating joint success through skillful negotiations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of directly related experience is required.
  • MBA preferred
  • Prior experience in marketing, product marketing and project management required.
  • Prior experience in a telecommunications environment preferred.
  • Ability to identify marketing and sales channels within wireless product technologies.
  • Must be able to write, read, analyze, interpret, present technical product and development materials.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office. Excellent dominion of PowerPoint and Excel required.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company. This person will have relations with different levels of seniority in the organization, and will be interact with Senior level executives on a weekly basis
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
  • Read and interpret marketing documents, media materials, and contracts (or related documents) based on corporate legal and marketing standards and philosophy.
  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for internal and external personnel at all levels, especially in the sales and marketing, logistical, or financial areas of clients, prospects, and company.
  • Superior level of collateral development and project management skills, including the ability to prepare written plans and schedules, identify objectives, create promotional materials, coordinate and direct project teams, manage creative developers, select and control printing and production resources, and manage budgets.
  • Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames.
  • Ability to negotiate on behalf of function to come to agreement by managing communications through discussions and compromise; issues are short-term operational and medium-term tactical or limited strategic nature.

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $166,000 and $170,000 Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
