Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Product Marketing at skinbetter science isn't just passionate about skincare, they possess a keen understanding of the science behind it, combined with a strong eye for aesthetics, trends, and the evolving landscape of professional skincare. This role reports to the AVP, Product Marketing and is responsible for leveraging data and insights to drive strategic decisions across the business. As a key player within the skinbetter science team, this individual will be responsible for all data tracking and reporting and will be the primary point person on product performance, forecasting and portfolio management.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and data-driven thinker with a proven ability to analyze market dynamics, anticipate future trends, and develop innovative marketing solutions. They excel at problem-solving, possess exceptional communication skills, and can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct business analyses and execute successful product launches and marketing campaigns.
They will maintain a deep understanding of the skinbetter science product portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation. A strong collaborative relationship with Integrated Marketing, Demand Planning, Sales, and Education teams is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Performance Tracking
- Partner with Demand Planning on non-saleable forecasting, providing crucial insights into anticipated demand for marketing materials and samples to ensure adequate supply and efficient resource allocation. This involves analyzing historical data, current trends, and marketing plans to create accurate forecasts.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product performance and identify areas for improvement. This includes weekly and monthly tracking of product portfolio performance, analyzing metrics such as sales data and market share to identify trends, inform strategic adjustments, and report on performance to key stakeholders.
Product Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies for new product launches and existing product line extensions within the skinbetter science portfolio. Specifically, this role sets the overall strategic direction and leads development of all sets (physical and virtual), owning the overall product strategy and ensuring alignment across all departments.
- Collaborate with DMI (Global Marketing) and Medical/Clinical Affairs teams to develop impactful materials and sales tools that effectively communicate product benefits and value proposition to skincare professionals.
- Effectively communicate product information and marketing strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
Content Development & Management:
- Develop and manage a “product repository” to house all product information in one central document with SKU information, approved copy, ingredient list, etc. to be disseminated cross functionally
- Collaborate cross functionally to develop and execute impactful product launch plans.
- Develop compelling professional and consumer-facing marketing content, including product sales aids, product brochures, website copy, and presentations, that effectively communicates the science-backed benefits of skinbetter science products.
- Manage the creation and distribution of marketing materials, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and messaging. This role also encompasses conducting regular product portfolio analysis, identifying opportunities for growth, optimization, and potential gaps in the market.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, preferably within the dermatological skincare or beauty industry, with a demonstrated ability to utilize data analysis to drive business decisions.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful product marketing strategies, supported by quantifiable results.
- Strong understanding of the professional skincare market and its unique dynamics is a plus.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate data insights to various audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to analyze complex data sets and draw actionable conclusions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (including advanced functions like pivot tables, vlookups, and data visualization) and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools is a plus.
Salary Range: $107,600- $153,300 + Bonus
