Seeking a Marketing Go-to-Market Program Manager to shape and drive operational strategy for product launches and announcements at GitHub, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution and alignment.

The Marketing Go-to-Market (GTM) Program Manager will play an integral role in shaping and driving operational strategy for how GitHub delivers key product releases and announcement moments year round and aligned with flagship events. This person will work closely with a cross-functional group of partners across the organization, including Brand & Corporate Marketing (including, Marketing Content, Brand, Social Media, Docs, and Events), Product Marketing, Design, Developer Relations, Product Operations, and Corporate Communications teams, and others to build and maintain playbooks for how we effectively go to market.
The right candidate is extremely organized, collaborative, approachable, and willing to go the extra mile to drive launch objectives and ensure that partner teams are enabled with the resources, communications, and direction necessary to meet launch timelines. Driving influence among executive stakeholders, attention to detail, and the ability to create clarity for stakeholders are important qualities for success in this role.

Responsibilities:Ensures continued alignment between multiple major stakeholder groups (including senior leadership) to support marketing activities surrounding key product launches.
This work is highly visible, so candidates should be comfortable working cross-functionally and with senior leadership.
Develops and drives the timeline and milestones for Marketing GTM activities, ensuring dates are met.
Implements repeatable launch processes that can be followed by cross-functional stakeholders.
Collaborates closely with cross-functional Marketing, Communications, and Product partners to identify upcoming in-scope launches.
Manages kick-off meetings for new launch moments and projects, ensuring business requirements are captured and scoped in cooperation with stakeholders.
Creates a launch/announcement calendar and maintains its health.
Clearly communicates roadmaps, progress, risks, and change control via well executed project management.
Drives feedback rounds and approvals for key assets with main stakeholders.
Manages and maintains a log of important decisions that affect downstream teams and the trajectory of the project.
Drives reporting and analytics to understand the longer term impact of key launch moments.
In preparation for our flagship event programs, this role will also:
Create and maintain the single source of truth for all releases (product and non-product) that are in scope for the event.
Coordinate the development and completion of a launch brief across all launches.
Develop and drive the event Run of Show for announcements and launches on event dates.
Manage and maintain a centralized issue for all GTM planning and resources
Required/Minimum Qualifications
7+ years experience in program management, product management, project management, customer success, or a related field
OR Bachelor's Degree in a related field AND 5+ years experience in program management, product management, project management, customer success, or a related field
OR equivalent experience.
2+ Experience working with marketing, brand, design, communications, or related disciplines and teams.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
2+ year(s) experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
3+ years experience working at a technology organization.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, remote environment.
Familiarity with Git or GitHub.
History of working with projects and cross-functional stakeholders, executing strategies to deliver excellent solutions.
Demonstrated change management skills in large organizations.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant.
