The Amazon Private Brands Sustainability team is looking for an experienced product manager to drive customer awareness and engagement with sustainability features of our private label products. The Amazon Private Brands Sustainability team is responsible for setting the environmental and social sustainability strategy and operational plan for the business. Our long-term goals are to meet The Climate Pledge to be net-zero carbon by 2040 and continuously raise the social responsibility bar across Amazon Private Brands' supply chain. Amazon Private Brands invests in building products that deliver superior value and sustainability to customers, and this role is instrumental in developing novel ways to communicate with customers about these environmental and social issues, and scaling the most effective tactics. As the Senior Product Manager, Sustainability, you will work with teams around the globe, including marketing managers, product managers, product developers, business managers, sourcing managers, manufacturers, public policy/environmental/social responsibility experts, and central teams who own program, such as Climate Pledge Friendly and Amazon Business. This role will experiment with and leverage customer perception feedback, industry benchmarks, customer behavior data, and more in support of growing our more sustainable product segment across both consumer and business customers. This role requires skills to influence across a global organization, manage a high level of ambiguity, and make high-judgement decisions. The ideal candidate will be highly-analytical, creative, articulate, influential, and be able to invent new solutions that are simple and effective. Being able to communicate tangible, data-backed business benefits of sustainability product features and marketing will be an essential skill. Key job responsibilities • Create and maintain high-trust relationships with cross-functional teams to support sustainability initiatives • Provide direction to internal product and marketing teams to influence strategy and policies • Participate in cross-cutting sustainability initiatives and programs as needed • Understand the sustainable consumer goods space and assess benchmarks for private brands products. • Align both leadership and operational teams with sustainable marketing and product strategies
  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
