SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Senior Product Manager will drive marketing strategies to enhance product performance and market presence in the pharmaceutical sector, while ensuring compliance and collaboration with various teams to meet corporate goals.
- Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive brand marketing strategies for assigned product(s), ensuring that messaging is consistent with the product’s clinical profile and aligned with market needs.
- Market Launch Planning: Lead all aspects of new product launches, including developing market segmentation, messaging, branding, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to ensure successful product introduction and uptake in target markets.
- Life Cycle Management: Manage product(s) throughout their lifecycle, from market introduction through maturity and potential loss of exclusivity, ensuring continuous optimization of market performance, profitability, and competitive positioning.
- Pricing Strategy & Market Access: Collaborate with Market Access to develop pricing strategies, optimize reimbursement potential, and manage pricing throughout the product lifecycle, with a focus on maximizing market access and profitability.
- Market Research & Competitive Intelligence: Conduct ongoing market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights gathering to inform product positioning and strategy adjustments. Monitor changes in market trends, competitor product launches, and regulatory changes.
- KOL & Physician Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and physician advocates to support brand messaging, clinical differentiation, and overall product success. Oversee the organization of advisory boards, speaker programs, and educational symposia.
- Marketing Communications & Promotional Materials: Lead the development of branded marketing materials, including promotional collateral, digital campaigns, product websites, and sales tools, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Digital and Multi-Channel Marketing: Drive the implementation of digital and multichannel marketing strategies, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising to enhance product visibility and engagement with healthcare professionals.
- Product Forecasting & Budget Management: Lead the creation of accurate sales forecasts and manage product P&L, ensuring financial objectives are met. Collaborate with finance teams to optimize budget allocation across marketing activities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the brand lead and work collaboratively with internal teams such as Analytics, Medical, Regulatory, and Sales to ensure successful product commercialization and delivery to market.
- Vendor Management: Oversee the selection and management of external vendors for marketing research, creative agencies, digital marketing, and promotional activities. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Performance Tracking & Adjustments: Monitor product performance metrics such as sales, market share, and profitability. Adjust marketing plans and tactics based on real-time data and market conditions to maximize brand success.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance a related business discipline or the Physical Sciences required.
- Minimum 8 years of professional marketing experience ideally within the healthcare industry or equivalent Pharmaceutical or Medical Sales experience required.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and experience managing products such as ANDA’s, 505B2’s or a NDAs through their lifecycle nice to have.
- Demonstrated success in launching and marketing products in a highly regulated environment required.
- Experience in developing and executing strategic marketing programs that integrate clinical data and market insights required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals across all organizational levels – with the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and concisely in writing and through presentations required.
- Strong analytical skills draw meaningful, actionable insights from data and clearly communicate these insights to leadership to influence strategy required.
- Previous experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior team members in a product management or marketing capacity desired.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while under pressure required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with software products pertaining to market analysis (IQVIA), data analysis and reporting required,
- Travel up to 25%.
