SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Strategic Accounts Manager will grow revenue and market share by developing client relationships and business opportunities, coordinating with internal teams, and providing high-quality service to enhance customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Position Summary: The Strategic Accounts Manager role will focus on growing revenue and market share by identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining existing client relationships, formulating strategy, and serving as the key point of contact for clients and partners. This role will develop strong relationships across internal teams in order utilize appropriate resources for marketing, customer care, design, and operations/installation. (ie micro team)
Essential Job Functions
- Communicates with client to determine design preferences, purpose and function of environment, budget, furniture choices, and other factors that affect planning interior environments.
- Introduces new workplace strategies and products; host “working-showroom” tours.
- Exhibits excellent communication and diplomacy skills in working with clients and micro teams.
- Identifies and develops new clients as well as enhancing the Company’s existing relationship with customers, ensuring the highest quality and responsive service is provided to develop the opportunity for repeat business.
- Confers with micro team to outline project work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope.
- Presents pricing, proposals, and products to clients. Communicates to clients AOI’s full scope of services.
- Reviews furniture/floor plans and communicates regularly with AOI team personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
- Manages, leads, motivates and collaborates with micro team to ensure quality deliverables to the customer.
- Adheres to procedures and policies for invoicing, deposits, and aged accounts.
- Consults with manufacturers, or other individuals to discuss and establish project discounts when applicable. Understands and applies pricing contracts appropriately.
- Works with internal marketing and design teams to ensure use of current technology, templates, renderings, and animations. (These are value added offerings and innovative ideas that differentiate AOI from our competitors.)
- Attends meetings and networking events in the community to enhance prospective and existing client relationships.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Interior Design/Architecture or related field of study from a two or four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5+ years of sales and/or account management related experience.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft programs.
- Knowledge of CRM and project forecasting.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
