Student Assistant
LOCATION
Hybrids opportunities during the 2025 Kentucky Legislative session and Spring 2025 semester.
QUALIFICATIONS
Open to any major; excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, customer service orientation, ability to work independently with some supervision, and attention to detail. A pre-employment criminal background check is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform bill analysis and tracking, attend and report on committee meetings, conduct research on relevant news, manage external partner engagement on campus, produce weekly reports, coordinate with on-campus partners, and complete other duties as assigned.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Legislative/Economic Engagement Intern will support the office during the Kentucky Legislative session, honing research, writing, and communication skills while engaging with business partners and campus resources.
- Bill analysis and tracking, attendance and reporting of committee meetings, research relevant news
- Working with external partners (corporate, non-profit, individuals, etc). to identify opportunities for engagement with NKU
- Managing external partner on-campus engagement, such as tabling, event participation, sponsorship fulfillment, etc.
- Production of weekly report
- Coordination with on-campus partners, such as Career Services, Development, and Colleges
- Other duties as necessary
