Position Details:

The Opportunity:

As the Student Engagement/Marketing Coordinator, you will plan, create, and implement the Carson Center's communications to increase student engagement, understanding and awareness of College programs/services/events, requirements, deadlines, and processes. Working closely with Carson Center teams and content experts, you will develop and implement communication campaigns and create digital/visual messaging. You will also manage student data for email campaigns and analyze the effectiveness of campaigns.

Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, humanities, public relations, or related field; or four (4) years of writing/editing/public relations experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience creating and coordinating communication and marketing campaigns.
  • Willingness or experience working in a collaborative team environment, including leading committees or work groups.
  • Demonstrated strength in writing and editing persuasive written communications.
  • Demonstrated strength in verbal communication skills, including the ability to design and deliver engaging presentations to large audiences.
  • Experience using Outlook, Word, Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with marketing/promotion through different mediums (including social media, print, and video).
  • Experience using communication campaign software (i.e., Mailchimp, Slate, MarketingCloud, Hootsuite).
  • Experience using graphic design, survey programs, and/or project management programs/software.
  • Experience working in higher education.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communication, PR, or related field.

Monthly Salary: $3,477 to $4,410 | Range 38, Steps C to M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
