Join our dynamic team at Huntsman Cancer Institute as we prepare for the groundbreaking of our new Vineyard Campus. This event marks a significant milestone in our mission to bring world-class cancer care closer to communities in Utah County. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Event Planning Intern to assist in the planning and execution of the Vineyard Campus groundbreaking event. The intern will work closely with our Public Affairs and Communications team to ensure the event's success.

Summary of Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Coordination: Assist in the development and execution of event plans, timelines, and logistics.
- Vendor Management: Research and liaise with event companies, caterers, and other vendors to secure services and negotiate contracts.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with the communications team to draft event-related content, including press releases, website updates, and social media posts.
- RSVP Management: Develop and manage an online RSVP system to track attendee responses and manage guest lists.
- Creative Input: Brainstorm and propose innovative ideas to enhance the event experience and engage attendees.
- On-Site Support: Provide on-site support during the event, including setup, coordination, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Event Planning, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- Must be a current UVU student.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
- Previous event planning experience is a plus.
