As a Subscription Marketing Manager at Spiceworks, you will create and implement marketing strategies for the Cloud Help Desk software to enhance subscriber growth and optimize engagement through data-driven approaches.

What you’ll do
For more than 18 years, Spiceworks CHD has been helping IT organizations more efficiently and safely manage and monitor daily projects and user tickets. Throughout 2025, we are excited to release new product tiers along with innovative features and services. This role is instrumental to translating the CHD product roadmap into actionable messaging that will be promoted across various channels to drive subscriber growth.
As the Subscription Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing, executing and optimizing CHD integrated marketing campaigns to achieve our growth objectives. You will partner closely with the CHD leadership team to deliver on pipeline and revenue targets. This position oversees global demand gen campaigns and pipeline driving activities across North America and international regions. You will build industry and account-centric (ABM) programs to multiple personas in a (preferably tech) organization. You will put the marketing strategy into action by managing the execution of the “game plan," leveraging a variety of messaging, content, product demos and offers to drive both net new customer acquisition and upsell/cross-sell existing customers. As an ideal candidate, you will have a solid blend of strategic focus, strong project management skills, and a proactive mindset.
What will be your responsibilities
  • Develop highly targeted multi-channel campaigns and implement strategies for cross-sell and upsell
  • Manage paid, owned and earned media, from planning to implementation and optimization across channels such as Email, Social Media, SEO, Display and SEM, Software Review Sites and Product Directories
  • Grow subscription numbers for both free and paid products
  • Use marketing intelligence, customer insight & analysis to understand audiences and effectiveness of campaigns
  • Understand and report against engagement program KPIs; forecast, track, analyze and report on activities
  • Oversee campaign processes, including lead reporting - collaborate effectively with marketing team members to build and execute programs for maximum results, and enable testing of new channels for future scalability
  • Drive brand engagement, customer satisfaction and lifetime value
  • Build dashboards to easily monitor customer marketing KPIs
What does it take to do this job
  • Excellent understanding of subscriptions marketing including retention, acquisition, lifecycle marketing
  • Hands-on experience with marketing tactics and channels (SEM, SEO, Display, Content Syndication, Events, Review Sites, Email, etc)
  • 4-5 years minimum experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar marketing automation platform
  • Creative thinker and proactive problem solver
  • Proven experience in a subscriptions marketing role or similar campaign-based role
  • Ability to work across multiple teams to collect information and gain consensus
  • A good understanding of Google Analytics & WebTrends
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, ability to balance multiple project and deliverables
  • Ideally BS/BA in Marketing, Communications or a similar field

Salary Disclosure: Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000 - $120,000 plus incentive compensation (for eligible roles only), 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
