LOCATION
Hybrid (minimum of three days onsite at Universal Orlando Resort)
QUALIFICATIONS
Some college or a preferred degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Marketing Research, or Anthropology; 2+ years supervisory experience leading teams, preferably in Field Research.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee field operations and project management, mentor and develop team members, manage technology and equipment issues, and participate in safety and environmental responsibilities.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
This position supports the Consumer Insights Field team by managing daily operations, ensuring project execution, and fostering the growth of team members through coaching and mentorship.
Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. There are also roles that require being on-site full time. Limited remote opportunities may be available within specific departments. You’ll learn more about this during the recruitment process.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position works directly with Consumer Insights Field Leadership team implementing the day-to-day operations of the Consumer Insights Field team. This position is responsible to ensure that all core and ad-hoc projects are executed in accordance with approved methodologies, quality data is collected, and the projects are completed within the pre-designated time frames. This position is responsible for the growth and development of Consumer Insights team members.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Field Operations: In field oversight of all field projects. This includes but is not limited too: Point of Origin, City Walk Profile, Panel and adhocs as requested. Supervisors will be expected to spend 35% of their shift in the field observing, coaching, and mentoring team members. All observations, coaching’s and monitoring’s will be documented for quality data collection purposes.
- Project Management: Reconciles weekly payroll and approves team member schedule swaps. Attend daily virtual park operations meetings and sends out daily email updates. Schedules and conducts bi monthly and monthly team meetings. Assists in the creation and maintenance of pre-shift documents, interviewer productivity, and project productivity for all core and adhoc projects. Supervisors assists the team captains with the morning pre-shifts for Point of Origin and other projects as needed.
- Team Member Performance and Development: Participates in the weekly interviewing and hiring of new team members. Is responsible for the growth and development of the team members reporting to them. Conducts required TM 1 on 1 conversations, including 30/60/90s. Address concerns, current performance, and growth opportunities. Work in field with team members to be successful in their current role and prepare for advancement to next level. Participates in department TSAT initiatives routinely.
- Technology and Equipment: Troubleshoot, resolve, and monitor daily technology concerns involving safety or maintenance. Update Leadership team on any ongoing issues. Assist in testing new technology. Track inventory levels and make recommendations on purchase of new equipment.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Some college or degree preferred.
- Bachelor of Arts, Hospitality, Marketing, Marketing Research or Anthropology preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2+ years supervisory experience leading teams required.
- Would prefer supervisory experience in Field Research.
- Will accept a combination of supervisory experience and education.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. This role requires significant mobility across multiple properties as well as flexibility in hours worked to accommodate research needs.
