About the Role
We are seeking a driven, creative, and results-oriented Marketing Manager to execute key initiatives in the tattoo industry. This position will contribute to brand growth across core categories, including inks, needles, machines, and supplies. The Marketing Manager will assist in managing campaigns, driving customer engagement, and growing our portfolio across three house of brand e-commerce sites (Painful Pleasures, Ultimate Tattoo Supply, Darklab) and two proprietary brands. (Recovery, A Pound of Flesh). This role is essential in shaping our brand identity, increasing product demand, and fostering customer loyalty in a highly.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Execution:
Assist in the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns (digital, social, email, and event-based) to drive customer acquisition and retention.
Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
Support day-to-day campaign management tasks, including scheduling, tracking performance, and reporting on results.
Brand Support:
Collaborate with the Marketing Director to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints and marketing materials.
Help maintain the unique identity of each proprietary brand and our house of brands while aligning with the overarching Body Art Alliance brand strategy.
Develop creative briefs to guide content, design, and production teams.
Content & Social Media:
Work with the Social Media Director to develop and deploy content that engages and educates tattoo artists and industry professionals.
Contribute to blog, social media, and video content strategy, ensuring it resonates with the tattoo artist community.
Monitor and analyze content performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Product Marketing & Launches:
Assist with the development of product launch strategies for new inks, needles, machines, and supplies.
Coordinate the creation of product marketing assets, including sales materials, product descriptions, and training content.
Partner with product development teams to ensure timely execution of launch plans.
Market Research & Insights:
Support research on industry trends, artist preferences, and competitor analysis.
Assist in gathering customer feedback and analyzing it to refine product offerings and messaging.
Budget Management & Reporting:
Work with the Marketing Director to track and manage marketing budgets for campaigns and initiatives.
Measure campaign effectiveness and provide regular performance reports to internal stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaboration with the Sr. Director of Ecommerce, Sr. Creative Director, Artist Relationship Manager, Social Media Director, and Community Engagement Director to deliver cohesive and integrated campaigns.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in a relevant industry (tattoo, beauty, lifestyle, or similar).
Experience in campaign execution, content marketing, and brand support.
Preference for experience working for a house of brands or retailer with multiple brands and categories.
Industry Knowledge:
Passion for the tattoo industry or knowledge of the sectors products, including inks, needles, machines, and supplies, is a strong plus.
Brand & Digital Marketing Expertise:
Experience supporting multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social, and email marketing.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to interpret campaign data, customer insights, and industry trends to inform future marketing activities.
Organizational Skills:
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
Creative Mindset:
Passion for storytelling and the creative process. Comfortable collaborating with content creators and creative teams to bring ideas to life.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey brand messaging effectively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
