The Tax Transfer Pricing Director will deliver comprehensive tax and transfer pricing services, collaborating with global teams to resolve complex business issues while also contributing to business development and ensuring high-quality client service.

Tax Transfer Pricing Director

As the Tax Transfer Pricing Director, a national business line role, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of a full range of tax and transfer pricing services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries and market segments. You’ll collaborate closely with partners and managing directors while teaming with managers, associates, and other teammates from around the globe to help clients identify and solve complex business problems through deploying a wide range of Grant Thornton solutions in a collaborative manner, ensuring quality above all, because together is how we succeed.

Your day-to-day may include:

Overseeing and directing the efforts of multiple client services teams on client engagements; planning, executing, directing, and completing transfer pricing projects; providing innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; marketing, selling, designing, and implementing tax-planning strategies for clients and managing engagements to budget

Overseeing the delivery of a full range of transfer pricing services and advising U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the tax implications of their international operations as well as coordinating U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to develop an efficient worldwide tax strategy

Lead and support business development activities, such as identification, proposal development and other pursuit activities at clients

Developing a project vision and setting challenging personal and client service team goals

Responsible for quality assurance on all managed service offerings

Facilitating client understanding of international tax development implications

Working closely with partners, managers, and associates to integrate practice development skills into a team approach to client service and new business development

Promoting collaboration between service lines and industries to provide high quality client service

Attracting, developing, and retaining top talent for the Tax Practice

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field required

Masters in taxation /LLM, Master of Economics, PhD in Economics, Finance, Business Statistics, Tax or Supply Chain, Engineering, MBA, other advanced degree, related certification or relevant experience required

Minimum eight years of progressive tax and transfer pricing experience in public accounting, consulting, or academia

Experience in tax and transfer pricing management in an integrated client service team

Ability to manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment

Demonstrated experience in practice development, business development, and managing other managers

Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology

Can travel as needed
