ABOUT THE JOB:

Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with potential customers, specifying engineers, municipalities and developers, assist sales team to help achieve sales goals of engineered water solutions products business, building relationships with all stakeholders to help increase market share.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the local sales office in developing strategy and tactics that ensure the attainment of company sales goals and profitability in key markets through assigned geography.
  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and prospective engineers, owners, and municipalities in the assigned territory to generate new business for ParkUSA products and services
  • Offering continuous training and development to meet company growth objectives across all product groups
  • Manage the front half of the sales lifecycle: lead generation, qualification, meetings, and proposals ensuring an efficient handoff to the sales team on key projects.
  • Support existing engineering relationships, ensuring satisfaction and account viability while proactively resolving any issues.
  • Ensure all engineers, owners, and developers receive appropriate contact, communication, and service.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities with strategic targets and key accounts.
  • Cohesively work with operations, accounting, and HR as needed.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of designated products and serve as a knowledgeable resource to team members, prospects and customers.
  • Attend meetings as needed with Dispatch, Plant Managers and Sales to discuss customer needs, product availability and coordination and production efforts.
  • Review sales pipeline and keep SalesForce opportunities up to date including activity management.
  • Ensure all projects are accurately designed with ParkUSA specifications, cost estimates, and details as determined by the engineering community
  • Stay informed on all sales activity through open communication with each team member daily
  • Drives specification inclusion and product promotion through presentations to engineers, municipalities, contractors and owners.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for new and existing ParkUSA clients to ensure they receive platinum service
  • Take charge of field level marketing activities including identifying tradeshows, industry associations, and customer activities necessary to drive demand growth.
  • Prospect for new business in defined territory through networking, scheduling appointments, conducting lunch and learns and other sales generating activities
  • Utilize various sales techniques and platforms (LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, industry databases, referrals, supplier leads, etc.) to identify and qualify potential customers.
  • Consults with customers (including distributors, contractors, and owner's personnel) on proper application, assembly, and installation of the company's products
  • Research product requirements for municipalities and work with engineering to ensure proper product requirements and drawings
  • Actively participate in industry-related associations as required to develop and maintain key networking and business relationships.
  • Prospect opportunities and companies and market products within market
  • Must be able to take a project from demand creation to fulfillment
  • Performs field investigations on an as need basis of customer complaints

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrate strong business acumen regarding sales and marketing and/or infrastructure construction market; be knowledgeable of current and possible future industry trends.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Must have the drive and self-discipline to work independently within territory to accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers – both internal and external. This will include in-person and customer facing activities.
  • Be a pro-active, self-motivated, self-starter who is action oriented and drives for results.
  • Foster a collaborative, team-based approach.
  • Be experienced with technical sales to engineers, industry suppliers, contractors, specifying agencies, developers and owners.
  • Be proficient in basic Microsoft Office software.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, preferably Salesforce is a plus.
  • SAP experience, or a large ERP system, is considered a plus.
  • Have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Have ability to work with a diverse group of people both within the Company and in a sales capacity.
  • Must be able to present dynamically to large diverse audiences to drive demand for ParkUSA products.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Bachelor of Business Administration preferred
  • Technical Marketing Rep = Minimum 5 years of direct work experience in a professional construction or industry related office environment preferred.
  • Sr. Technical Marketing Rep = Minimum 8+ years of direct work experience in a professional construction or industry related office environment preferred.
  • Experience working with water, stormwater and wastewater projects preferred
