Company Overview

We seeking motivated and results driven Territory Sales Representatives familiar with commercial paint spray guns ie. Devilbiss, Sata, Sagola and the paint and coatings industry to build their assigned geographic territory. My client is an established, international manufacturer and distributor of industrial paint application products. We are looking for full time Territory Sales Representatives to prospect and close new business specifically for their paint application product line. You will be calling on commercial automotive paint distributors including small to midsize shops who sell these products to the public. The sales cycle can be as quick as two weeks turnaround. If you thrive in a F2F and B2B sales role while being the sole rep in your given territory with a guaranteed base salary and uncapped commission potential, this opportunity is for you.

NOTE: The travel part of this position is conducted in your geographic territory, by car (no overnight travel required but is optional) for in person F2F business development purposes to build your territory. Package includes generous car allowance.

This company is a global leader in the paint and coatings sector. They provide strong leadership support and product training for this new to the U.S. product line which has tremendous growth potential and commission earning potential. Lead generation is supported by their extensive database of contacts as well as via industry Trade Shows. The sales team travels nationally throughout the year for industry trade shows. Corporate Leadership ensures extensive training of new sales members with comprehensive on-boarding which often includes visits to their global manufacturing and product development centers.

Position Description

  • Close sales by generating and qualifying leads obtained from market leading branding, trade shows, a robust online marketing platform, and trade associations.
  • Cold calling a dealer/distributor network in a designated territory - a lot of hunting and prospecting to build your territory.
  • You will be managing a substantial geographic territory, so expect week day travel to successfully build your territory - up to 50%.
  • Sole ownership of the designated territory with unlimited potential to grow the product line.
  • Sales cycle is typically as fast as 2 weeks to several months
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Must be inclined to succeed in technical product sales and possess the ability to learn the company’s product line
  • An understanding of the paint and coating industry and/or industrial sales to a distributor network will elevate your application
  • Research and cultivate a solid pipeline of prospects and potential customers.
  • Manage accounts by tracking and following up on a timely basis
  • Input all sales activities into CRM system daily.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members.
  • Conduct job functions in a manner that promotes a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • This role will involve focus on business development as well as account management to maintain the business and relationships.
  • Maintain and grow your book of business

Skills and Background

  • Two or more years of successful sales experience with a strong desire to elevate your sales career to the next level of achievement
  • Experience in the automotive paint and coatings field
  • Track record of success working independently in a sales role
  • Experience selling to a distributor base or industrial dealerships
  • Energetic and motivated with a strong desire to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Driven to close new business while earning an excellent income
  • Must have the ability to learn a variety of technical products and their applications
  • Motivation and drive to handle a large volume of calls daily
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet sales goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and ability to navigate CRM software
  • Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to trade shows several times a year

This is a fully remote opportunity. We are looking for sales representatives in various territories including but not limited to New York state/Northeast, North Carolina region, Florida, Midwest, Southwest and Canada.
