QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, graduating between Spring 2025 - Fall 2027, strong interest in music and pop culture, relevant coursework (for specific roles), and legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide operational support to label partners, assist in account management and planning, contribute to sustainability initiatives, support financial analysis and reporting activities, manage compliance tasks, and participate in community engagement projects.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
Universal Music Group seeks interns for various departments to support commercial partnerships, corporate communications, finance, and sustainability initiatives, offering hands-on experience in the music industry.
Program Eligibility:
- Currently enrolled at an accredited two or four-year college/university in the United States, pursing an undergraduate, graduate and/or law degree
- Graduating between Spring 2025 - Fall 2027
- Have access to housing and transportation within the designated city (We do not offer housing accommodations)
- Legally authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future (e.g., H1-B, OPT, etc.)
- Commit to 20 - 40 hours per week (based on individual business area)
- Label Support: Liaison with account management team to field both owned and distributed label partners’ day-to-day requests such as DSP profile optimization, ad-hoc sales reporting, troubleshooting product delivery issues, and other operational support tasks.
- Account Management: Provide label partners with account-specific operational support, collect & communicate advanced links for RUSH releases, track & identify social media trends and provide summary to internal team.
- Release Admin & Planning: Assist in identifying & communicating UMG’s upcoming New Releases, working with owned & distributed labels to collect assets, organize pitch details, and communicate priorities to partners. Track, identify & summarize social media trends for internal team.
- Experience with analytics, search engine and social media marketing is a plus.

- Analyze third-party financial projections in the music industry
- Discover comparable music artists and analyze performance / trends
- Perform strategic research project(s) including due diligence and presentation
- Support ad-hoc financial analyses
- Solid understanding of financial concepts
- Support with FP&A (financial planning and analysis) activities
- Month-end close activities
- Administrative finance tasks such as updating finance trackers, managing budget approval documents, etc.
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Assist the central ops team with inputting actuals for month end close.
- Prepare templates for the forecast and budget meetings.
- Assist with payment packages. Organize org charts.
- Professionalism when communicating with outside vendors
- Assist with updating walkthrough of certain controls as part of the annual US Compliance Program
- Assist with updating policies
- Assist with updating US Compliance SharePoint
- Assist with Ad-Hoc Tasks as needed
- Business-related background (preferably accounting/finance)
- Critical/Analytical thinker

- Researching variance drivers and asking business partners for relevant follow-up details
