Role Summary
As a User Experience Researcher Intern, you will be the glue between our organizations and bring the voice of our customer to every conversation, enabling them to demonstrate the full power of Splunk.

What you'll get to do
Support more senior team members with all aspects of research and conduct research under guidance of senior team members. This includes study planning, note-taking, recruiting, moderating sessions, data synthesis and analysis and presentation
- Partner with Research & Insights team members on research, design and product management workshops.
- Partner with design product management, engineering, and product marketing.
- Conduct primary research such as: moderating 1:1 interviews with users, facilitating usability studies, designing and running surveys, synthesizing existing research, etc.
- Create deliverables in the form of engaging reports or other materials as needed by the project team.
- Share research insights with cross-functional partners to create a smarter, more informed, and more empathetic team.
Identify and design new processes to make research more effective and partner with Research Operations to scale new systems and processes
Must-have Qualifications
Actively pursuing a Master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Factors, Service Design or related field, and strong record of academic achievement
- At least one semester/quarter remaining to complete after the internship
Available to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks

Have basic familiarity with UX Research process and planning and executing different types of research and usability testing activities

Note:
Base Pay Range
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro and New York City Metro Area
Base Pay: $62 per hour
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts
Base Pay: $56 per hour
All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.
Base Pay: $50 per hour
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills, year in school and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for benefits.
