SHORT DESCRIPTION
Seeking a dynamic individual to lead business development and marketing communications efforts, focusing on revenue growth and client relationship management in the experiential marketing space.
- Business Development responsibilities:
- Provide Business Development planning and administrative leadership.
- Develop full year agency sales plans and quarterly business growth snapshots all focused on delivering on new net revenue goal.
- Track progress toward new net revenue goal on a quarterly basis and adjust plans as needed to ensure we stay on track to hit YE goal.
- Continue to evolve and strengthen the business development process.
- Ensure all administrative steps are taken when starting a new business job internally.
- Lead review of new business pipeline on Weekly Project Review discussions.
- Lead agency response efforts to in-bound opportunities.
- Evaluate RFP’s and creative briefs to determine viability for agency pursuit.
- Oversee the BeCore new business scoring filter process, including the input of new opportunities through the scorecard, as well as evolving the filter as needed.
- Determine the appropriate resources needed in order to respond to chosen opportunities.
- Provide initial response for quick-turn budget requests, timelines or other feasibility checks from prospective clients as needed.
- Build Development Agreements to secure initial work from prospective clients.
- Lead cross-functional teams of internal and freelance resources to develop strategic solutions and provide winning responses on RFP’s and briefs.
- Deliver live/virtual presentations to prospective clients as needed.
- Drive outbound agency sales efforts.
- Pursue new business opportunities in the experiential, event marketing, and sports and entertainment sponsorship industry by leveraging existing brand/agency/property relationships and by networking with industry leaders.
- Consistently be looking for new service offerings, events or other opportunities we can leverage to try and drive additional new business.
- Deliver customized capabilities and case study presentations to prospective clients.
- Support team members when initial conversations lead to follow-up work needed in pursuit of new opportunities.
- Servicing of new clients.
- Upon securing new clients, support in the transition process as needed, ensuring the various internal teams across departments are fully up-to-speed on the program and introduced to the client contacts.
- Stay engaged with new client contacts as needed until Client Service team has taken over.
- Be the in-house expert on BeCore’s positioning, service offerings, and past programming, as well as industry trends.
- Build and maintain a strong knowledge of BeCore’s current services, processes and solutions.
- Develop a strong knowledge of BeCore’s past programming in an effort to provide the most relevant information/case studies/capabilities related to specific opportunities.
- Keep current with emerging experiential and partnership marketing trends and best practices.
- Recommend tools, services or learning opportunities (i.e., research, analytics, tools, conferences, etc.) that allow us to enhance our value to current and prospective clients.
- Provide Business Development planning and administrative leadership.
- Marketing Communications responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Executive team to understand and prioritize business objectives, priorities, and goals and how it pertains to the agency’s marketing communications efforts.
- Support the Manager of Agency Growth in the development and implementation of a strategic marketing communications plan that translates these big-picture goals into an actionable workflow and deliverables, including areas such as:
- Digital + Social
- Case Study Development
- Content Capture
- Public Relations
- Branded Events
What We’re Looking For In You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Communications.
- Minimum of 10 years of sales and marketing experience, ideally within an experiential agency environment.
- Experience and expertise consulting with and selling to Fortune 500 company executives.
- Strategic thinker with an ability to develop creative ideas to solve business challenges.
- Savvy relationship builder with a hunger to find, pursue and win new business opportunities.
- Proven ability building consensus and working effectively with cross-functional resources in developing impactful programs.
- Experience in the logistical delivery of event marketing programs, including; building budgets, building timelines, understanding operational needs, etc.
- Comprehensive understanding of contemporary marketing approaches, including; experiential marketing, partnership marketing, digital and social media marketing, influencer marketing, content development, etc.
- Ability to identify, develop and implement changes in process/systems for maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
- Talented presenter with the ability to capture an audience’s attention.
- Dynamic, self-motivated individual with solid organization and time management skills.
