Position Summary:
As Vice President, Marketing you will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer. Your role will be to provide oversight and leadership to our marketing function in support of our U.S. launch of paltusotine for the potential treatment of acromegaly and neuroendocrine tumors. You will lead a US brand marketing team to develop innovative marketing strategies and tactical implementation of marketing campaigns in support of the successful brand launch and growth. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the brand’s profit and loss. In addition, you will be responsible for building a team to ensure a successful launch that achieves corporate sales targets through the oversight and implementation of effective marketing strategies and campaign.
Externally, this leader will develop Crinetics position as a leader in endocrinology and neuroendocrine oncology, build strong relationships with the patient community and key advocacy organizations, as well as promote Crinetics as partner of choice to ensure productive relations with key business partners and major stakeholders.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

Oversee the marketing strategies, tactics and activities for the US launch of Paltusotine in acromegaly with responsibility for the P&L for the brand.
Champion the importance of gathering key market insights from customers, in particular patients, to drive marketing strategies and campaigns.
Ensure implementation of campaigns which integrate all appropriate marketing tactics, including digital, interactive and online media, mobile applications, and other new methods that augment traditional marketing tactics.
Oversee the identification of physician/brand insights into actionable programs that have a beneficial impact on the growth of the business.
Create the execution of a US Marketing Strategy as well as action plans for aligned activities with the customer facing teams. The customer facings teams will be a significant internal customer focused on specialists and hospitals for both the initial treatment decision.
Develop global positioning, value proposition, messaging platform and corporate brand architecture in partnership with corporate communications & business development, to lead and/or support ex-US commercial activities.
Oversee and manage relationships with creative agencies.
Manage and approve expenditures within budget guidelines.
Communicate brand and marketing strategy to the organization, ensuring consistency across all customer touch points Daily interactions and frequent presentations with Senior Leadership and Board Members.
Scope and incorporate appropriate voice of customer research and insights into campaign development and decision-making process.
Develop and champion Crinetics’ brand to ensure it is consistently and meaningfully represented by all internal stakeholders, across all customer touch points.
Develop and/or evolve department operational procedures and processes that foster effective communications.
Establish metrics and track program effectiveness and ROI regarding the launch.
Work hand-in-hand with Communications, Legal, and HR on external corporate stakeholder and employee communications regarding the brand
Creation of a high performing brand team to support launch. Will be responsible to design, build and grow the marketing functions at Crinetics to support the marketing capabilities required to achieve our growth objectives.

Education and Experience:
Required:

Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, both within commercial teams and cross functional teams including R&D and Manufacturing and Medical Affairs
A minimum of 15+ years of pharmaceutical marketing experience with at least 6 years of commercial experience in brand management/marketing in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry
14+ years of management/leadership experience
Bachelor’s degree in a business-rated, marketing and/or life sciences field required.
Strong track record with product launch as well as experience in creatively accelerating launches and overcoming barriers to commercial success.
Ability to perform an analysis of the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and ensure optimal ROI.
Significant physician, hospital and consumer marketing experience required along which includes digital, social media. interactive and online media.
A deep familiarity with regulatory and pharmaceutical legal promotional review processes.
Proven ability to develop exceptional relationships and have an impact on and influence others.
Strategic mindset with a creative approach.
Extensive experience with endocrinology marketing, preferably with brand launches
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate. Travel:
You may be required to travel for up to 15% of your time.
The Anticipated Base Salary Range: $300,000 - $375,000
In addition to your base pay, our total rewards program consists of a discretionary annual target bonus, stock options, ESPP, and 401k match. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education.
