Video Editor, Videographer & Photographer

Job Description:

T&C Surf Designs is currently looking for a full-time Video Editor/Videographer/Photographer to join our rapidly growing Marketing Division. This individual will collaborate and work closely with our Ecommerce, Merchandising and Marketing teams. The Photographer/Videographer/Editor will join the Marketing team to edit videos & photos for use on our social channels, website and retail stores. Candidates should have experience shooting photos and video with an understanding of composition, lighting and the production process. Candidates should have experience with photo editing and video editing using the Adobe suite programs. The ideal candidate will be well versed in video editing techniques and current trends used in social media. A creative mind will be necessary to keep up with the ever-changing marketing trends. T&C is seeking in an individual who is looking to grow as a creator, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and possesses the ability to find creative ways to get the job done.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be reporting to the Marketing & Content Manager and assist the Marketing Team in the following areas:

· Responsible for editing photos & video footage for use on our social channels. Reels, short documentary and product features are some of the main content we produce. Video editing will be your primary task in this role.

· Responsible for photography and videography tasks. Must have an understanding of how to operate and shoot on our mirrorless cameras. Fuji X-H2S.

· Help develop and define the look of our photos and videos.

· Be able to add animated text and video effects within your edits.

· Help archive, maintain and organize all photos and videos onto our backup drives.

· Communicate with our Ecommerce team to understand what content needs to be produced for the upcoming weeks.

· Help develop ideas to feature products, ideas for general content and creative ways to edit videos to market the company.

· Interact and work closely with our surfboard factory to promote our surfboards.

· Help in researching what trends we should implement to promote our brand and products.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Film, Photography or Video Production or related field (relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of the educational requirements. Your portfolio will be the main factor considered for employment).

· 2-3 years’ work experience in photo and video editing. Video editing will be primary focus for our selection.

· Knowledge of surfing, surf culture and beach lifestyle.

· Proficient in Adobe programs (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere).

· Experience with Adobe After effects a plus.

· Experience with Davinci Resolve a plus but not necessary.

· Experience with coloring and color theory a plus.

· Experience with sound design and sound editing a plus.

· Experience with Adobe Illustrator a plus.

· Experience with social media marketing landscape a plus.

· Knowledge of digital photography, videography, composition and lighting a plus.

· Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Possess a positive, can-do attitude that looks for solutions to problems and is always willing to pitch in where needed.

· Ability to learn new programs and editing techniques quickly to keep pace with trends and new ideas.

· Ability to be self-sufficient in researching and learning how to execute the new techniques.

· Candidate will have a valid license and be able to travel in their own vehicle when necessary.

· Experience using lighting for video & photography a plus.
