QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in video production or a related field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, along with strong storytelling and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Capture and produce high-quality video and photography content, edit footage, collaborate with clients, maintain video/photo equipment, supervise student employees, and ensure all work adheres to brand guidelines.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Videographer will produce video and photography content that supports the University of South Carolina's Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support, driving engagement and enhancing the division's reputation.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.

The videographer will capture and produce high-quality video and photography content that supports the strategic needs of the Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support. The videographer will create content for a range of audiences to build awareness, drive engagement and enhance the reputation of the division. They demonstrate expertise in storytelling, project management, video and photography production to deliver compelling, creative solutions for digital communications.

- Bachelor’s degree in media arts, graphic design, marketing, communications, journalism or public relations preferred.
- Proven experience in video production, photography; including shooting, editing and post-production
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud including but not limited to Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects
- Strong understanding of storytelling, visual composition and cinematic techniques
- Knowledge of camera operation, lighting, audio recording and other video production equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines
- Excellent communications and creative thinking skills, with an ability to effectively present to clients and communicate underlying strategies
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Familiarity with usage rights, licensing and copyright laws
- Ability to create within defined brand standards
- Ability to work as a team player, demonstrate personal initiative and inspire colleagues
