Visual Communications Coordinator
LOCATION

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field; two years of related experience; mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva Enterprise; strong communication skills; ability to multitask.

Develop and maintain branding standards, create print and digital marketing materials, provide internal visual design support, serve as the primary contact for brand needs, and assist staff in producing cohesive branded materials.

SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Visual Communications Coordinator will oversee the branding and design of Loudoun County Public Library's visual materials, creating promotional content and providing design support to enhance community engagement.

Introduction
Loudoun County Public Library (LCPL) builds community by promoting the joy of reading and learning. LCPL provides free and equal access to a variety of library resources, programs and innovative technologies to enhance the quality of life and meet the entire community's informational, educational, and cultural interests.
Job Summary
1. Develop and maintain LCPL’s branding standards, public-facing and internal:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all brand/logo-related needs.
- Provide branded templates for staff to use as needed.
2. Create print and digital promotional collateral for:
- External marketing campaigns targeted to reach new library users.
- Select major programs and community partnerships.
- LCPL services and resources.
3. Provide internal visual design support:
- Develop videos and other materials needed for training/orientation.
- Update and maintain screen content, wall content and signage in branches.
- Add/update webpages as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Candidates will be expected to show samples of their portfolios and will be given an assignment.
Work schedule is typically Monday through Friday daytime, but occasional night, weekend and holiday work is required. Software platforms are subject to change.
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Mastery of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and Canva Enterprise.
- Demonstrated experience in content creation and/or marketing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Successful candidates will undergo background checks a required. Must be able to lift equipment up to 40 pounds.
