SHORT DESCRIPTION
The Volunteer Coordinator manages volunteer recruitment, scheduling, training, and appreciation efforts, ensuring safety and compliance while supporting the mission of PALS.
Job Description: The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the general recruitment, checking and managing volunteer email, maintaining volunteer paperwork to standards, scheduling volunteer need shifts, updating roster with shift fills and finding coverage for what is not, covering if no volunteer is found, scheduling volunteer appreciation efforts and retention of the PALS volunteer base. This position’s primary focus is managing the volunteer base that has already completed training with safety of all participants as the primary objective. Must ensure alignment with all PALS established Policies and Procedures and PATH international standards.
Specific Duties:
Volunteer Development and Coordination:
- Responsible for ongoing volunteer recruitment.
- Primary liaison with area agencies regarding special volunteer projects
- Assists with Volunteer Recognition through annual recognition event and ongoing acknowledgement of volunteer efforts
- Coordinate all non-program volunteer activities.
- Responsible for coordination of staff and volunteers for volunteer trainings through Email ·
- Ensure that all incoming volunteer files and paperwork are complete and maintained.
- Serve as primary liaison with area agencies regarding special volunteer projects and community fairs.
- Assists with creation and maintenance of all volunteer materials.
- Maintain volunteer website listings and online marketing.
- Responsible for ongoing and strategic volunteer recognition activities.
- Assist with initial scheduling of incoming volunteers.
- Assist with all communication with current program volunteers.
- Assist with maintenance of volunteer database and reporting as required.
- Coordinate internship programs and delegate to appropriate staff as necessary.
- Supervise & train interns as appropriate
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Coordinates communication and scheduling needs with volunteers
- Ensures that volunteers complete all appropriate paperwork
- Coordinates appropriate staff input for volunteer trainings
- Assists with database management
- Assist Program Administrator with program needs
Assists with Special Events:
- Coordinates volunteers for special events
- Assists with training of volunteers for special events
- Maintain compliance with all related PATH standards and all PALS Policies and Procedures.
- Attend all staff meetings.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.90 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 29 per week
