HydraEarth Network addresses global environmental health challenges by empowering students and emerging professionals, particularly from underrepresented communities, with the education, training, and hands-on experience needed to lead in clean energy, sustainability, and water conservation. Through innovative projects, we foster sustainable solutions and develop the next generation of environmental leaders.
We’re seeking a creative and passionate Marketing, Communications & Social Media Specialist to help amplify our mission and drive awareness of our programs and initiatives.
Role Overview:
As the Marketing, Communications & Social Media Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in developing and executing digital strategies that engage our audience, enhance our visibility, and highlight the impact of our work. This is an opportunity to use your creativity and communication skills to support a meaningful cause.
Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop engaging content for our website, social media channels, and newsletters, including blogs, posts, and updates.
- Social Media Management: Manage and grow our presence on platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter, including scheduling, posting, and interacting with our audience.
- Campaign Development: Plan and execute marketing campaigns that align with organizational goals and priorities.
- Brand Messaging: Ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all communications.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and report on the performance of digital campaigns and social media activities to optimize strategies.
- Public Relations: Support the development of press releases and outreach efforts to engage with media and partners.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in digital marketing, social media management, or communications.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proficiency with tools like Canva, Hootsuite, or other graphic design and scheduling platforms.
- Passion for environmental sustainability and nonprofit work.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and think creatively.
Preferred but Not Required:
- Experience in nonprofit marketing or cause-driven campaigns.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms
- Basic knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics.
