Position Overview
The Vice President (VP) of Skilled Nursing Sales and Marketing will provide strategic leadership and oversight of the marketing teams and clinical liaisons across multiple skilled nursing facilities. This position is responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive census growth, and maintain a competitive edge in the healthcare marketplace. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in skilled nursing sales, proven leadership capabilities, and a track record of building successful marketing and outreach programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead and manage marketing teams and clinical liaisons to ensure alignment with organizational goals, focusing on census growth and brand positioning.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement data-driven sales strategies to attract new residents, strengthen referral pipelines, and optimize facility occupancy rates.
  • Marketing Oversight: Oversee the creation of marketing campaigns, collateral, and digital strategies to promote the organization’s skilled nursing services.
  • Team Development: Train, mentor, and support marketing professionals and clinical liaisons to foster professional growth and enhance performance.
  • Referral Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, and other referral sources.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive positioning, and opportunities for growth, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of the industry.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with facility leadership, clinical teams, and corporate departments to align marketing strategies with operational capabilities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sales and marketing practices comply with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
  • Event Coordination: Oversee the planning and execution of community events, seminars, and outreach initiatives to enhance visibility and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, healthcare management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare sales and marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the skilled nursing sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of skilled nursing operations, healthcare marketing practices, and referral development strategies.
  • Proven success in driving census growth and building referral networks across multi-site operations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, marketing platforms, and data analytics tools.
