The Vice President - Senior Marketing Specialist will lead the Bank's marketing strategies, manage the marketing team, and ensure effective communication, aiming to enhance the Bank's products and services.

OVERVIEW:
Plans, directs and oversees the Bank’s marketing of all products and services through the development of marketing plans that support the Bank’s strategic plan. Responsible for the oversight of corporate communications and the management of the marketing team and activities, all within the Bank’s regulatory compliance framework.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to clients.
- Oversees the development, implementation, execution and measurement of the Bank’s strategic marketing plans for all business lines, with a focus on ROI. Establish and foster collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners.
- Provides direction and oversight for all aspects of marketing (traditional and digital) including research, positioning, pricing, competitive analyses, media planning, offer strategy, campaign and channel planning, etc.
- Sets measurable marketing performance goals and tracks performance. Analyzes and measures the results of all marketing efforts. Develops and maintains a plan for reporting results to division partners and leadership.
- Stays current on evolving marketing tactics, trends and technologies and actively makes recommendations to enhance and advance the Bank’s marketing efforts that will lead to business results. Stays current on all applicable regulations and laws, and the related bank policies and procedures.
- Ensures the productivity and effectiveness of the marketing team, including team structure, roles, processes and procedures. Oversees the daily activities and performance of departmental staff. In collaboration with the CMO, makes hiring, salary and promotion recommendations. Takes ownership of departmental results, and fosters a culture of accountability.
- Develops, manages, and monitors the marketing budget and makes recommendations monthly for corrective action when needed.
- Oversees marketing research efforts, in collaboration with external vendors and the Bank’s Business Intelligence Officer. Researches, analyzes and monitors financial, technological and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities. Manages research and analysis of competition to ensure the Bank remains competitive in its products and pricing, and to identify opportunities to generate business.
- Effectively manages relationships with external marketing vendors including advertising agencies, website developers, and vendors who provide printing, language translation, video, photography, signage, etc. Creates and shares marketing briefs, assignments and planning documents that contain clear expectations, timelines and budgets for all involved to streamline marketing effectiveness with our external partners.
- Oversees all aspects of the Bank’s website including content, design, functionality, SEO, etc, with a focus on customer experience and customer conversions. Uses a “mobile first” approach in all web-related work. Analyzes website analytics and recommends appropriate changes to ensure optimum effectiveness.
- Oversees the Bank’s communications plans, including internal and external communications and public relations efforts. Assists in the drafting of press releases as needed.
- Serves as a steward of the Bank brand. Responsible for maintaining a high level of quality and consistency relative to the Bank’s internal and external image, event marketing and collateral materials, etc.
- Responsible for event-marketing related tasks, as needed for special events. (Annual Meeting, commercial client events, golf and ski client outings, customer seminars, etc).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through specialized education in banking and marketing is required.
- At least five years of progressively responsible bank marketing experience.
- Experience managing a team of 2+ people.
- Proactive problem solver. Skilled in interpersonal, written and oral communication.
- Equally analytical, creative, detail-oriented and organized.
- Experience managing digital channels, websites, social, and connected media plans is a plus.
- The ability to operate and maximize appropriate technology utilized by the marketing department is also required.
- The position requires a person who can work in a fast-paced and stressful environment and have the ability to shift and prioritize based on executive management strategic goals and objectives, as well as multi-task. independent learner with creative abilities.

INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Establishes short-range plans and objectives within the scope of bank-wide policies and goals. Performs work within established guidelines and according to specific procedures. Consults with manager regarding policy interpretation or exceptions. Resolves problems rather than referring them on when deemed appropriate.
