Walmart Business Director

QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred), 10+ years in Sales or Business Development in Mass Channel, Walmart experience required, strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Canva & PowerPoint, and ability to travel up to 20%.

The Walmart Business Director will have responsibility for the entirety of the company’s Walmart business and have reporting relationship to our Sales EVP. The Walmart Business Director is responsible for maintaining the Walmart base of the business with a focus on growth in new and existing categories and departments.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- With the EVP of sales, develop the annual sales plan for Walmart
- Work cross functionally to deliver the annual sales plan and associated margin goals
- Present Goldbug brands and products in a manner that is aligned with established Goldbug and Walmart values.
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel at Walmart.
- Be the hands-on expert on Walmart including planning, replenishment, SSO writing, modular processes, item level management, luminate, Nova, etc.
- Establish strong, productive internal relationships
- Act on internal and external data to retain current business while gaining share—both brick and mortar and digital
- Work cross functionally with lead merchandiser to create winning product assortments on a seasonal/annual basis.
- Be viewed as a cross functional leader
- Manage customer deductions and post audits as necessary
- Collaborate with internal resources (logistics, planning, product, leadership) to achieve objectives, provide flawless service, and meet revenue and margin goals.
- Proactively assess, clarify and validate customer needs, on an ongoing basis.
- Be a proactive voice of Walmart internally.
- Complete understanding of Walmart’s internal structure, business practices and go to market strategies.
- Be an expert in all WM software platforms (Retail Link, DSS, Item Creation, Luminate)
The ideal candidate:
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development in Mass Channel
- Walmart Experience is a must and POS replenishment and modular experience is highly preferred
- 5+ years of experience in managing a customer level P&L
- Strong team leadership, influencing, presentation, negotiation, analytical and communication skills
- A demonstrated ability to have a 360 view and understanding of the Walmart and Supplier total enterprise
- Demonstrated ability to understand, set and change priorities to reflect customer requirements and/or internal goals
- Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Excel, Canva & PowerPoint
- Ability to travel, up to 20%

- Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 DOE
- Status: Full-Time
